Mild smell, caramel color, very clear, thin head lets beer breathe. Lager taste with after off flavor, mild to start then odd. BreWedge (550) - goose bay, Newfoundland, CANADA - MAR 18, 2016
On tap @ Beaufort Pub Belleville. Pours a clear Amber with a small off-white head. Aromas are sweet malts (biscuit, honey) and a little grain. Tastes are mild biscuit, some spice. Medium body and carbonation, medium grainy finish. Definitely much more character than a typical lager. Not too bad.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear brownish-copper with thin tan head and moderate lacing. Aroma of spice, stale hops, soap. Taste of roasted malts, spices, ginger, finishing stale bitter grapefruit and cinnamon. Not bad, would buy again. nasmith003 (252) - Virginia, USA - FEB 24, 2016

Dark copper body below a foamy ecru head which holds. Orange rind fore in aroma, a little soapy, or maybe like a holiday candle as the ginger comes out. Flavor is a jolly jumble of cinnamon and ginger with no real distinctiveness as a "beer" outside of a slight caramel sweetness which peeks out from time to time from under a heavy blanket of ho-ho-holiday spices. The lingering memory on the palate is sour, dry and spicy... take a dollop of sour cream, add a squeeze of lemon and maybe a full tablespoon of ground cinnamon for the effect. This is a definite "one and done" and it’s too bad that they put two of them in my gift pack. ~~~~ From a Sam Adams 12 Pk. of "Winter Classics", received as a gift. You can feel the spices! A little too much perhaps but this is that kind of beer, happy holidays

Sam Adams lager with some spices that really don’t make it better. Pour is a deeper reddish amber than the lager with a soft foam head. The aroma is soft hops with a hint of cinnamon and citrus. The initial taste is light hops with citrus and a hint of ginger. As it sits in the mouth the citrus and ginger really come out and leaves even more of a stale beer and pumpkin pie aftertaste. commonshawn (1311) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2016
12oz bottle with commonmac in goblet. Light amber with medium white head. Spicy floral nose with malt. Taste has orange peel bitterness and strong bitter spice. Tastes like a spiced version of the Boston lager. Not bad. AdamT (268) - North Carolina, USA - JAN 8, 2016
12oz bottle from holiday pack from Food Lion in Wilson. Dark orange/reddish hue with almost fully diminishing light khaki head. No lacing. Aromas of citrus hop and dark malt. Dark malt and light spice taste up front with more of an orange citrus finish. Slick mouth feel.
