Beautiful amber color. Quite good, mainly characterized by the caramel, with a more clear hoppy note in the aroma and a bold final, but a bit too metallic.
Clear copper with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, dried fruit, caramel, malty and spicy. Flavor is rather sweet and fairly bitter. Soft finish. A very positive surprise as I thought I was opening just another lager. 211210 Koelschtrinker (20223) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - FEB 26, 2017
Trocken malzig gewürziger Antrunk. Weiche Herbe, süßlich, minimal Zimt. Etwas dumpf zum Ende. 8/9/8/9/9/9 rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 24, 2003
Bronze/amber color, nice off-white head. Quite carbonated. Has a sweet and bready aroma with some bread in it. Flavor brings some toffee, sweet, but turns into some bitterness.

Red ruby, good foamy medium head, lace. Sweet, malty, hoppy, berries, black currant nose, almost Belgium character. Medium-bodied, chewy, flavor of toffee, berries. Aftertaste has some late bitterness. Decent brew, but a bit unbalanced. Though this is weizen bock, this has some Märzen notes. (6/4/5/3/12 3.0)

Ruby red color, creamy white head, lace. Aroma has wheat and rye, some tobacco. Medium to full bodied. Sweet, rounded barley malty flavor. Real cross over -beer of styles. (5/4/7/3/13 3.2)
12 oz bottle. Dark red/brown body with off-white head. Flavour is wheat, malt, caramel and spices. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 2, 2000
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2008 Medium amber-brown colour. Thin head. Aroma is bland caramel. Tastes like diacetyl, astringent bark and roots, some caramel. Finishes with an unpleasant diacetyl slickness. This 2008 version is pretty gross.mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 5, 2012
Old rating: Dark amber; aroma shows brown sugar, spice (ginger, orange peel), sweet earthy malt. Earthy, caramelly malts. Good chewy character. Funny that the brewer kept insisting this was a traditional wheat bock, when it is not made with a weizen yeast, and it is spiced with cinnamon, ginger and orange peel! 6-3-6-3-12 = 3.0
12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma of Xmas spices (cinnamon, nutmeg). Flavour of Xmas spices as on the nose, buttery malts and bread. Decent, but nothing interesting.
