I like this beer, have not samppled for a while till just this weekend again I do love my SS line of beers, Bought everthing they had, Still the favorite is that oatmeal stout. Dark and robust, nice malt tones and a decent hop bite, that i like, a favorite from this most wonderful brewery. hayduke (5203) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 2, 2010
Another great beer from The Falcon pub in Chester England. This poured a very dark brown with an off-white head and good lacing. Nose of caramel malts and floral hops. Rich body and a very smooth mouthfeel Flavor is of malts with some slight sourness and chocolate and nuts. Finish is very milt but highly enjoyable. This is the possibly the king of session beers Beth101 (531) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2009

@ Angel & White Horse, Tadcaster. Pours a caramel, chestnut color. Creamy full bodied ale, nice lacing, very smooth with medium maltiness & mild bitterness. Very good AshtonMcCobb (6585) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 22, 2013
On tap @ the Cramond Inn. Pours opaque black with just a hint of chestnut towards the bottom of the glass. The nose has soggy bean flakes.
The taste has mild chocolate and nuts. The palate is surprisingly medium bodied and creamy in texture despite the low alcohol level.
Overall a lovely mild with a surprisingly good body.

Very dark brown colour with thin creamy head. Aroma has some roasted dark malts. Body is a bit light but it’s very flavoursome for the low abv. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2006
