COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smiths small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Bottle shared thanks to bjammin, cheers Ben. Pale yellow beer with small head. Aroma of apricot, syrup and honey. Taste is apricot, sweet and some tangy notes with malts. Good.

Poured from a cool brown glass pint bottle into a nonic pub glass, mostly-clear amber colour with off-white foam, lasting with lace. Delicious aromas and flavours: rich malts, caramel, biscuits and honey, toast with marmalade, grassy, black pepper, ripe juicy apricot fruit essence perfectly melds with the fruity ale yeast esters. Medium body and carbonation, well-rounded mouthfeel, lingering bittersweet and fruity aftertastes. Fantastic.

35,5cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours close to completely clear golden with a modest, white head. Surprisingly fruity aroma - ripe apricots all the way. Almost a bit too much for my taste, but feels quite natural somehow. Medium sweet with apricot dominated flavour and some acidic notes. Quite refreshing and fairly easy to drink.

I took this bottle from the beer of the world in Zrich. I drank it relax at Bonfol. In my point of view, it is a nice beer, perfect for the dessert. If I compare with the Belgians, they are not this side sour, due to the way to make the beer differently and due to the water that it is giving one side really mineral. The taste is again mineral, decent touch of apricot, giving a nice sweetness, malt, few hop, regular carbonation, pleasant orange/yellow color, good stuff.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2016 550mL bottle, my 125th from England. Nose is very strong apricot-peach, syrupy and medicinal. Pour is a slow gusher with plenty of carbonation, clear fiery golden-orange in the class with a large and incredible, jiggly-rocky meringue head -- one of the most attractive beers of the year, without a doubt. Cloyingly sweet at times, just jammy at others, peach and apricot with candied orange peel, very low bitterness, but a dry/stiff feel to the body even if theres sugar. A bit childish, but I settled in and quite enjoyed it -- certainly beats the #9 clones. [2016.11.11: 3.5]

Bottle. Pours a hazed golden orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet apricot and fruit. Flavor of apricot jam, pale malts, citrus and had some fruity tartness.

Sweet apricot smells with an alcohol overtone. Pours a cloudy gold with a tight white head of tiny bubbles. A lot of lacing. Big round apricot tastes with a little hops underneath. Quite sweet but not cloying. Fizzy broad mouthfeel. Well made (like all Samuel Smiths) and interesting.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is apricot marmalade, some sweet malts, mild sugary and wine gum like notes. Also a slight wooden tartness to it. Flavour is kind of tartish/sour wood along with apricot and some slight bready and crisp malty notes to it. I had expected something really harsh from this, but it actually turned out to be a quite nice one.

355ml bottle. Rather pale yellow colour. Medium white head. Sweetness and apricots in the aroma. Some sour notes too. Slightly sour apricoty beginning. Fruity in the middle. Apricots and slightly sour notes in the end. The palate is sweet. Rather light bodied, medium carbonated, drinkable fruit beer. Nothing special. The sweetness was too intensive.
