COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

355ml bottle shared with Steinar at the Samuel Smiths pub Angel Inn. Bright golden body under a remaining white head blanketing the glass. Herbal dry apricot aroma. Honeyed sweet apricot to the taste buds. Sweet fruity ending. Drinkable, but far too sweet in the long run. (Leeds 04.07.2017).

slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 26, 2014
"another well made fruit beer by Sam Smiths (i also liked the cherry and raspberry). the aroma is wonderful...more juice than beerlike, but just exploding with fresh apricot and a slightly tart aroma. body is fuller than expected, as is the look (no-seein through color of apricot juice). the flavor is nice...almost too much fruit, pretty sweet with a hint of tartness and hops and wheat. i wish these were not a couple bucks more than SSmiths regular stuff, but i may revisit the three...this is good. a touch less sweet and a bit more sour and this could be frikkin incredible."
