Cherry fruit beer pours a red color, with a lasting pink head. There is a strong and sweet cherry like aroma. The taste has a strong kick of cherries, and a hint of sweet light malts. Good full flavor, and not overly sweet, good amount of carbonation as well. Overall a good fruit beer, especially for the cherry lover.

OK folks lets take this for what it is. When you looked at the bottle and saw ale brewed with cherry juice. Did you think you would get a thick full bodied beer that tasted like an IPA or a Porter? It is what it is and for a nice fruity drink this one is just fine. Very smooth slightly creamy cherry drink that could very easily be sold as a soda. the bottle is very attractive and I have never had a Sam Smith that did not taste good. Sam makes one hell of a beer and pretty much tells you what is in it. So for all you low scorers, why dont you stick to the beer you like. Score a beer for what it is and not what you like. You bunch of biased beer drinkers need to wake up and be open minded. This was not my favorite type of beer but for a cherry beer it is very good and probably the best I have ever had. Much better than Kasteel. Hell I dont even need a piece of Big Red after this one. "Just Drinking a CHeerwine Boss, Just a CHeerwine." For those of you who dont know cheerwine is a soft drink bottled in Salisbury, NC. Have a good beer dri nking day. iratebeernow (1) - North Carolina, USA - FEB 25, 2017 does not count
Great taste not your typical beer flavor. If you like cherry you will love this, tastes like real cherry not some fake imitation flavor. It is not too sweet either. I like this flavor a lot. BlackEyePA (573) - USA - JUL 1, 2012
Completely amazing. I think this beer was developed well. I really think they put alot of thought into it. Not too much fruit, easy on the sugar, aftertaste wasnt of fake fruit syrup, natural with alot of natural fruit taste with the right amount of sweetness. Very good. Organic.

So good! I took one sip and knew that i found a hell of a brewery. The beer is red with sediment of some kind at the bottom. It goes down smooth and leaves its cherry taste well after you swallow. The head is fizzy and does not last long but is quite tasty, like a jolly rancher. Buy some! Also all of this breweries organic beers are also very good. UPDATED: FEB 10, 2014 Aroma is of sweet cherries, not artificial at all like the other reviewers are noting. Tons going on with this beer, lots of cherry flavor but not overpowering. Also has a really well crafted ale taste to balance out the cherries with notes of barely and yeast. A great drink. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JUN 18, 2014
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a super nice two and a half fingered white to a tint of reddishness in the head. The head must have lasted for at least a good three minutes before it even decided to dissipate. Once it did, there was a super thick amount of lacing gracing the sides of the glass very nicely.
The smell was tart cherries.
The taste was tart, sweet and has a touch of sourness but in a good way to complement the flavoring. With a slight refreshing yet crisp cherry aftertaste, the finish ends up being quick and refreshing.
On the palate, this one sits about a medium on the body with a superb sessionability about this one. Wow, I feel like I could pound this all day!
Overall, I didn’t expect this one to be so sessionable. This is an exceptionally well done beer and should be the benchmark for Cherry beers. tillmac62 (756) - Gaffney, South Carolina, USA - MAR 2, 2015
Pours a beautiful clear almost cherry red. Outstanding head volume and retention, below normal lacing.
Rich nose of sweet cherries and tart cherries with a hint of biscuit.
Heavy medium body with an almost creamy texture. Expertly carbonated yielding effervescence from the middle on and really making the sweet cherry pop in the middle and tart cherry in the finish. Brew master perfection.
The flavor profile is World Class - this is the best fruit ale I’ve ever had. It has intense cherry flavor, both sweet and tart, reasonable complexity and is perfectly balanced for a cherry forward ale. It begins with a burst of sweet cherry flavor that effervesces into a tart middle. Underneath the tartness is a light biscuit and a hint of sour cherry. The finish is a slow fade of sweet cherry that also has a prominent tartness and a hint of sour cherry that yields a subtle pucker. scotty (1223) - SCOTLAND - MAR 26, 2007
Wow! This jumps out the glass at you, packed with fresh cherry aromas, which are also on the palate. There is a touch of sourness/bitterness but that adds to the clean refreshing zip, and lasts on in the lingering finish. There is a very champagne like mousse which helps maintain the head. I dont normally like UK fruit beers but this is an exception..delicious! It was a bit frothy when opened and I lost a bit, so be warned.
