COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
The small and historical All Saints Brewery is located in Stamford, Lincolnshire - a region famous for excellent fruit. The Samuel Smith’s Organic Fruit Beers are brewed and fermented there, then transferred to Samuel Smith’s Brewery, in Tadcaster, for conditioning, aging, and packaging. The complex multiple yeast strains used to ferment these beers lead to a beautiful marriage with pure, rich Certified Organic fruit. Tasting notes: Strawberries offer a soft and subtle flavour, making the character of this fruit beer extremely sophisticated and refined. The smooth malt and aromatic strawberry flavours merge together in an elegant fashion, with the fresh flavours of ripe strawberries shining through.

Bottle, 500ml at The Three Goats Heads, Oxford. Pinkish amber with white head. There is certainly a strawberry aroma to this, fresh and fruity, the beer itself is quite sweet with a strawberry parfait type flavour. A little sticky. Not really my thing.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark golden with a creamy offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of malt, little bread, heavy strawberry, jam. Flavor is sweet, malt, little caramel, bread, strawberry. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 061217

355 ml bottle. Pours with a cloudy, deep golden color and a nice white head. Heavy strwaberry nose, sweet, sloghtly bready with just a few malts. Taste is medium sweet and dominated by strawberry flavors, astonishingly not too artifical. Almost no hops. Medium body.

Fairly decent strawberry ale. Since it's fairly simple and straightforward strawberry I don't know that I could drink a lot of it but it's not bad. Natural flavors a little bit of funk in there and the beer cast to it help a lot. Decent body and finishes like flavor which is fairly long.

When I picked this up, I was hoping it would be almost exactly what it is... a strawberry ale. I was immediately struck by the scent of fresh strawberries when I popped the cap. About 30 minutes in the fridge and it was perfectly chilled. Nicely carbonated. It was a little sweeter than I hoped for, but that is not to say that it wasn't delicious. I was hoping for a strawberry beer, and that's what this is. Thank you Samuel Smith.
