3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Poured a redish-amber with a small fizzy white head that was mostly diminishing and had fair lacing. The aroma was of sweet cereal malts, a sweet yeast and an overwhelming scent of strawberry’s. It tasted mildly sweet with notes of sweet malts and strawberry’s in the beginning and finished with a fizzy explosion of strawberry’s on the palate that lasted an average amount of time. Mouthfeel was suprisingly light in body and syrupy yet watery in texture. Overall and exceptional fruit ale.
Bottle, 500ml at The Three Goats Heads, Oxford. Pinkish amber with white head. There is certainly a strawberry aroma to this, fresh and fruity, the beer itself is quite sweet with a strawberry parfait type flavour. A little sticky. Not really my thing. Bottle @ Home. Pours dark golden with a creamy offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of malt, little bread, heavy strawberry, jam. Flavor is sweet, malt, little caramel, bread, strawberry. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 061217 dunklermessias (385) - GERMANY - NOV 1, 2017
355 ml bottle. Pours with a cloudy, deep golden color and a nice white head. Heavy strwaberry nose, sweet, sloghtly bready with just a few malts. Taste is medium sweet and dominated by strawberry flavors, astonishingly not too artifical. Almost no hops. Medium body. drpimento (3814) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 17, 2017
Fairly decent strawberry ale. Since it's fairly simple and straightforward strawberry I don't know that I could drink a lot of it but it's not bad. Natural flavors a little bit of funk in there and the beer cast to it help a lot. Decent body and finishes like flavor which is fairly long. timesetter (2) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 14, 2017 does not count
When I picked this up, I was hoping it would be almost exactly what it is... a strawberry ale. I was immediately struck by the scent of fresh strawberries when I popped the cap. About 30 minutes in the fridge and it was perfectly chilled. Nicely carbonated. It was a little sweeter than I hoped for, but that is not to say that it wasn't delicious. I was hoping for a strawberry beer, and that's what this is. Thank you Samuel Smith.

It’s a bit tingling when you drink, very fruity in the beginning, but with a bitter non-fruity ending - expected more drjay44 (3887) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JUL 8, 2017
550 ml. bottle. Pours a medium short lived, foamy white head, over a slightly hazy gold (SRM 5) body.......nose is heavy sweet strawberry, mild malts with bread, toast tones, no hops.......taste is strawberry, moderate sweet malt tones with light bread, cracker, finishing moderately sweet, no hop tones.....mouth feel, medium light body, no alcohol, high carbonation with light acid. This is a heavily strawberry dominated beer, that with the lighter malts and hops is approaching a soda type aroma and taste. It is light and refreshing for the summer time of year. Bottle from rimi, tallinn. Hazy deep golden color, white head. Aroma has strawberries, some wheaty notes. Tart and sweet strawberry taste, pretty clean. M4grem (97) - North Carolina, USA - MAY 22, 2017
Fantastic summer beer. Same ol Sam Smith you can't go wrong. A full strawberry flavor but not overbearing. Light ale.

Bottle in Fitzroy Tavern. Amber beer, white foam head. Nose is sweet, strawberry syrup, strawberry fruit, slight tartness. Taste is sweet, strawberry fruit, slightly tart and sour, strawberry syrup. Definitely on the sweet side of things although not quite cloying.
