Ha! How can a 7% ABV stout have so much damn flavor and such a thick luscious mouthfeel. Crazy - roasty, burnt caramel, black licorice, hint of sweet/sour. Awesome! Now in an amber bottle!!! Yes!

Copenhagen 21/52017. 35,5 cl bottle from Hkeren. A lot of Gold and Silver Medals on the label to ensure me that this Imperial Stout is of the finest quality. As these hails from 1896 to 1930 I am not sure I am convinced. Pours very dark opaque dark brown small off-white head. Settles as thin layer foam covering the surface of the beer. Aroma is strong sweet and boozy. Cocoa, bitter chocolate, sherry and roasted dark malts. Soft carbonation and surprisingly thin palate. Flavor is quite well balanced between syrupy sweetness and bitter chocolate. Aftertaste is fairly short and bitter sweet. A little thin for an Imperial Stout - but nicely balanced and easy to drink.

W zapachu coś niezidentyfikowanego i słodkiego.

Originally rated on 1/27/09. Aromas of toasted malts, coffee, chocolate and toffe. Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy. Flavors of smoke, coffee, toasted malts and slight hints of fruit. Overall a pretty good imp. stout.

Carbonazione bassa e corpo medio.

Velvety black color with a blanketing head of light brown foam. Decadent caramel and chocolate notes with caramel macchiato likeness in the finish.

(355 ml bottle) Jet-black beer, with a creamy tan-coloured head. A strong aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel, bread, and tobacco smoke. This is complemented by an underlying vinous note, with hints of spiced raisin, raspberry, and bramble. The finish is dominated by earth, charred oak, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is intensely smooth. The more I drink, the more I notice the mineral-rich well-water, which characterises a Samuel Smith brew. Id wager that the slate Yorkshire Squares also affect the aroma of the beer, and coming from Yorkshire, it does taste quintessentially of that region. At only 7%, this is an impressive imperial.

Butelka do sierpnia 2017. Wygląd - nieprzejrzyście czarne, z ładną beżową pianą. Aromat - czekolada, palone słody, czarny chleb, śliwki i ciasto czekoladowe. Smak - czekoladowe praliny, śliwka w czekoladzie, likierek, troszkę siarki. Tekstura oleista, nasycenie minimalne, alkohol prawie niewyczuwalny.

Corpo pieno, texture "setosa", mediamente carbonata.
