Poured a nice dark black with a caramel head. Aroma.. not so great, barley, nuts.. not what I expected... maybe even some copper smell in there?? The taste seems "off" to me too for an imperial stout -- more like a strong porter mixed with a bohemian pilsener. I did not like this one all that much.

Bottle. Imperial stouts with an abv of 8% and less should be banned... This beer is closer to a heavy roasted baltic porter in both aroma and taste. Medium body, boozy and dry-ditter aftertaste. Very fruity, however. Overcarbonated, watery, sharp. Average BP, poor IS.

Bottle from Bristol. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. No tasting notes kept, just rating. Very much enjoyed this.

Bottle @home. Pours black tan head. Nose is malty, chocolate, coffee with some slight licorice. Taste is along the same lines with a big overarching chocolate flavour also some soy.

0.355 l bottle from Beerlovers, Vienna. Pours black colour with huge, everlasting beige head. Slight cocoa, some roasted malts and coffee in aroma. The same notes appear in taste, with creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation and medium body. Leaves traces of chocolate and cocoa that last medium. Altogether not bad, but too light and easy.

Czarne z mala iloscia piany, niezbyt intensywny aromat kakao i kawy, dosc slodkie. Malo ciala i lekko palona goryczka, wysycenie na odpowiednim poziomie. Smakuje raczej jak Porter i nic nie urywa.

Had wat dikker gemogen. Wel lekker. Geroosterd, bbq, koffie. Goed bittere nasmaak.

Very little head, but a nice lacing around the edge of the glass. A beautiful colour and what I can only describe as a heady aroma of toasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate when I stuck my nose in the top. The flavour was much the same, but muted, which was probably because I poured it too cold, alongside a hefty kick of alcohol. As it warmed those flavours developed. A very nice mouthfeel from all of the malt. A very good, solid, imperial stout with a fantastic aroma.
