Bottle. The pour was a deep dark murky black with a large (2-3 finger) light brown rocky head that lasted a decent while leaving behind some really nice residue floating on top thus producing some really excellent lacing.
The aroma was wonderfully robust with a burnt dark bread malt and a mild sweet leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee, licorice, some dark fruit and a hint of molasses.
The taste was lightly sweet and malty with a hint of chocolate from the onset then became a mild bitter sweet with a nice note of coffee at the end with the flavor lasting a nice long while proceeding the swallow.
Mouthfeel was nice a full in body and rather creamy and a tad dry in texture with a mild carbonation.
Overall a superb Imperial Stout, very easy to drink and very enjoyable on the taste buds.

Pours an almost black with a medium, thick, tan head. The aroma is potent. I find it to be very earthy and heavy in licorice, along with chocolate, vanilla, and nuts. You can easily tell its not American, as its extremely rare to find an American Imperial Stout that smells like this. Slightly sweet in the taste, and with a very mild bitterness. Earthy and roasted malts seem to be the prominent impressions, though there is a healthy chocolate presence as well. Its pretty nutty, vanilla flavoring is weaker though noticeable, and there are hints of alcohol. Weak chocolate aftertaste. The texture is thin, which I find a bit odd for one that calls itself an Imperial Stout. Medium bodied and with flat carbonation. At kalde denne en imperial stout gør at man bliver en anelse skuffet. Den smager fantastisk men har ikke den fylde og volumen en "rigtig" imperial stout skal have.

Vierte en color negro café algo velado. Formación de espuma media y cremosa.
En nariz es de intensidad y complejidad medias. Da notas de ciruelas pasas, cítricas, de chocolate y de regaliz. Transmite también una cierta sensación licorosa.
Entre los gustos básicos destaca el dulce, acompañado de un amargor suave, ssí como un salado y acidez ligeros.
De cuerpo medio y textura cremosa y sedosa. En boca salen frutos secos y café, con acidez inicial que luego deja paso al amargor. Es algo alcohólica pero se siente suave. De trago corto.

Copenhagen 21/52017. 35,5 cl bottle from Høkeren. A lot of Gold and Silver Medals on the label to ensure me that this Imperial Stout is of the finest quality. As these hails from 1896 to 1930 I am not sure I am convinced. Pours very dark opaque dark brown small off-white head. Settles as thin layer foam covering the surface of the beer. Aroma is strong sweet and boozy. Cocoa, bitter chocolate, sherry and roasted dark malts. Soft carbonation and surprisingly thin palate. Flavor is quite well balanced between syrupy sweetness and bitter chocolate. Aftertaste is fairly short and bitter sweet.
