Pint in Ad Lib, Glasgow (£3.60):ralphdot (1094) - Billingham, Durham, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2011
Bitter with an earthy malt aroma and some lighter fruit notes along with some caramel and a touch of burnt sugar. There is some apples and a few sweet malts too.
Toffee brown with a cream, thumb sized head on top that is white and holds pretty well.
Sweet malts and a very bitter taste kick things off along with a nutty taste and a touch of caramel from the nose. There is a fruity undertone with some bitterness towards the end.
Medium bodied and very cream with a nice, rounded bitter finish and a very smooth body. The balance in this one is quite nice too.
Bitter and a great example of the style with a great appearance and a nice balance throughout. There was some nice caramel malts and the hints of fruit were nice too.
4.0% dark brown colour with a good lasting head, fruity aroma, very nice smooth fruity but bitter taste, very good beer, now an all time favourite. mike5326 (1756) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - MAY 16, 2016

Very nice semi-clear light amber to mostly orange color. Off-white color head. Not a real big head with an easy pour that settled to a nice ring. Getting the sweet fruity smelling grape juice hint. Slightly faint grapes however. Maybe even a touch of cranberry juice. Different, but kind of pleasing. A bit of sourness coming through on the nose also. I’m detecting the cranberry taste first. Just a small amount of bitterness at the back end. Slightly sour after it sets on the tongue for a second. Very well balanced. Medium to thin mouthfeel. Dry and crisp. Somewhat light, but not real watery. This is really a pretty good brew in my opinion. It’s different from most. I like the change of pace, however I don’t think I could make an evening of it.

On tap at Waterguard in Cardiff Bay, good tasting beer, but bitter aftertaste. Looks and smells good, just a slight bitterness to the aftertaste, without this it would be perfect. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 1, 2012
Draft at Duke of Argyll. Soho, London. Light copper pour. Ligh aroma of caramel malts. Very drinkable but light flavor of caramel/sweet malts. Decent JoTheO (220) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 9, 2016
Pint on keg at Angel in the Field pub. A reasonably good bitter, but a bit on the watery side. Apart from that, no real flaws. A good beer to go with pub grub... madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2009
22nd March 2008. Drawn from an oak cask. Very mild bitter. Smooth and creamy with only a light touch of bitterness. The oakiness is barely there.
