Name changed from Old Brewery Pale Ale to Organic Pale Ale in 2011.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, yeast, hops.
Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best barley malt, yeast and aromatic hops; fermented in stone Yorkshire squares to create a full, rounded flavour and after-taste.
Best served at about 51F (11C).

Bottle, organic pale ale. Amber, light cloudy, lacing off-white head. Fruity and earthy aroma. Sour grainy and minerally entry, honey, dusty, leafy - bit too much spice for my taste. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of slightly toasted malt. Hazy amber brown color, creamy smooth beige head that sticks at 1/2", bands of lace. Taste is toasted caramel malt that adds yeast and then, light bittering in a long finish. Crisp, malt forward, and also light and easy drinking.

Pours copper colour with a thin off white head. Malty aroma. Taste is bready malt with hints of caramel, honey, corn, pear, dry white wine and floral hops. The finish has a crispness reminiscent of lagers. Carbonation is high for English ales, body is light to moderate. This is a very atypical English ale. Its maltier, crisper, with a more noble hop character and the corn flavour is quite perceptible. All in all Im not a fan.

Bottle. A- Subtle caramel, malty. A- Dark amber color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Malty, subtle burnt caramel, mild bitterness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- This was maybe the worst of any of the Sam Smith beers Ive had. Basically a malt bomb and not very tasty.

I bought this bottle at the drink of the world in Zurich. I drank it before to eat a raclette. In my opinion, it is a decent beer. We could say that the taste is close a mix between an ale and a German bock. It is malty, hop, a little smocked, nuts. The finish is really dry, well balanced. The body is copper, middle/low carbonation, thin and white foam, there is a side with the water mineral.

Seemed a little ho-hum for Samuel Smith compared to their others that I sampled. Mild on hops. An English Pale Ale vs. APA so that is expected. Semi-clean feel and refreshing finish. A decent daytime or summer beer, but not really one Id return to.

Bottle. Amber. Malty slight huskey, light earthy, bit metallic, woody. Med bodied, bitters, dryness in finish. English tasting. Cant help thinking about that stone tank- note on the bottle. Serms to have a cementy stony feel to it now. Probably just imagining it.

Another solid brew from samuel smith, organic ale poured an aberish yellow body, not much carbonation, head or lace left behind. Aroma of sweet malts and the flavor follows the smell with caramel and a little honey coming though as it warms. Overall not my favorite from this brewer but not too shabby.
