Chocolate milk meets stout; SUPER yummy. very smooth. Probably not an everyday beer, but great for dessert on occasion. MARCH MADNESS 2018!!!

On bottle. Pours black with thick chocolate brown foam. The scent is intense cocoa. The taste is quite like chocolate milk with co2. A little watery - lots of chocolate, quite nice. The aroma is impressive with this one.

Far too sweet for me, with a serious milk chocolate bent and a syrupy sweetness that overpowers any enjoyable stout notes. Cane sugar adds a cloying, clingy sugar-drenched back end that clashes somewhat with the mild English hops. Lovely chocolate nose, and the texture's fine and dandy, but damn, I can't drink this.

LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Wat een smaakbom voor een ‘gewone’ stout: chocola, beetje koffie en mooi zoet, vol van smaak voor 5% abv. Heerlijk!

Beer #14 of 17 for each day of the 2018 Winter Olympics - One for A Country Participating in the Games: #14 - Great Britain (United Kingdom) Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice thinnish off-white and tan head. Aroma of pure milk chocolate, lactose, cream, milk and somehow - way more chocolate. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive sweet chocolate flavour with some mellow raisins, figs, earth and toffee, but the lactose, milk, cream and pure milk chocolate flavour is evident immediately and for a long time afterwards. Aftertaste shows some grapes, a light cherry flavour, a good deal of vanilla and earthier malts, but the chocolate and malt come through more than anything - very strong and very sweet. Overall, a quite pungently strong chocolate and very sweet beer with vanilla and cream dominating aside from the chocolate notes. A good beer, a touch too one dimensional and thin-bodied, but for the style, it's about right. Good to finally sample, as I've seen this almost everywhere around the world, but never had a real intention to ever purchase this as it always seemed expensive. A nice option when you are a store where you've sampled absolutely everything and want to try something new! I sampled this 550 mL bottle purchased a few hours ago from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 22-February-2018 for US$4,99 sampled a few hours later in front of the store, at home in Washington on 22-February-2018, just to get a new sample from the U.K/GB, while I had others in my cellar, but was saving for a better time.

Bouteille. Brun très foncé, mousse beige. Arôme de chocolat au lait, chocolat mi-sucré. En bouche, effervescence moyenne, texture adéquate, notes de chocolat, malt léger torréfié. Finale chocolat sucré et une légère amertume. Dessert.

12 oz bottle. Big huge chocolate scents and coffee underlying. Pours dark brow with an off-white micro-bubble head. Lacing is medium. Super sweet chocolate flavors with a balancing hop bitter finish. Frothy mouthfeel

Such a well balanced beer. Smooth and easy to drink. Aftertaste has no bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
