Shared bottle. Thanks Lehr! Beautiful milk chocolate, sweet vanilla aroma. Taste is very sweet with a tart punch. Creamy. Busick (398) - Lake Wylie, South Carolina, USA - JUN 18, 2014
I love it when a great brewery produces a great beer, such as this tasty chocolate stout! Delicious at any time of the day! Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - JUN 18, 2014
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance is a nice looking off white two fingered foaminess that lasts about a good two minutes before gently dissipating. There is some light bubbly lacing that ends up sliding for the most part.
The smell has a nice chocolatey aroma with a decent roastiness backing that up and even letting a nice sweet vanilla enter in after a bit warming.
The taste was sweet chocolate and yet there’s still a decent roastiness about it and the vanilla even comes back. The aftertaste is slightly chocolatey and yet still carries that roastiness to invite me into the finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a medium in body with a semi-decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation is super smooth.
Overall, I say this is a pretty good sweet stout worthy of having again and definitely worthy of putting in my wife’s chocolate cupcakes she makes every St Patrick’s day. I will be making sure to be getting one of these again next March for those cupcakes. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Chocolate. Tons and tons of chocolate. Black pour from 12oz bottle at Rugans. Thick and creamy chocolate milk taste. Not much else to say. Oh yeah. It smells like choclate too rondphoto (4508) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUN 13, 2014
@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear ruby black with a solid tan head that slowly drops to a full cover, blobs and strings of lace. Aroma is chocolate milk, but better. Taste is roasted malt that adds milk chocolate tinted with orange in the palate, then turns to bitter dark chocolate malt for the finish. An exceptional brew.

Chocolate, chocolate and yes more chocolate. Aroma and taste are full of chocolate. Simply delicious. Reminds me of chocolate egg creams my dad use to make. alliance100 (1189) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 8, 2014

Pours a dark brown with a darker tan head. Aroma is like chocolate milk minus the milk part of course. Taste is just about what you would expect. Tastes like a nice cocoa chocolate. A little thin, but at such a low ABV, can’t really complain. Excellent mixed with Lindeman’s Framboise. cthomas2390 (228) - Colorado, USA - JUN 5, 2014
Pours black with good head. S’mores on the nose -- honeyed biscuit, marshmallow, and chocolate. Sweet, roasty and creamy on the palate -- like a sugared mocha/frapuccino. Finishes fairly dry but with a bit of an artificial caramel finish. Full body and low carbonation.
