Pours dark mahogany brown with a large tan head. Smells strongly of chocolate with hints of malty roast. Taste is strong chocolate with hints of malt roast. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Samuel Smith Organic Chocolate Stout finishes with a soft chocolate sweetness.

Bottle, 12C. Almost black with a pale beige head. Aroma of chocolate liquor, vanilla - smells like a chocolate factory in the morning (great for about a minute). Very sweet with chocolate, vanilla, a very little toasty and nutty malt, discreet bitterness in a finish that dries out just enough not to make the sweetness overwhelming. Not great chocolate, not much beer. Fairly disappointing.

550 ml bottle from the lcbo. Pours deep brown with a tan head. Nice chocolate nose. Flavour is simple and chocolately. Brash and bitter on the finish. Id take a youngs double chocolate stout over this ever time.

Rigtig meget chokolade, marcipan. Mums, men mske lidt overvldende... Lidt i overkanten hvis man er ndt til at drikke det hele selv...

Dark brown pour with a nice frothy tan head. Aroma is chocolate and rich malt. Almost no carbonation, tastes more like a chocolate malt than a beer. This one is just too sweet and chocolatey for me, it doesnt taste enough like beer. I think I just dont really care for this style. I got it for my sister who normally doesnt like beer but she wouldnt even drink it because its too sweet.

Bottle from the LCBO. Deep ruby-black body with a creamy mocha head. Aroma of rich dark chocolate milk with a toasted hazelnut backnote. Creamy body. Flavour of dark chocolate, cream, vanilla, hazelnut. Light nutty bitterness to finish. Beautiful stuff, perfect for after dinner or as a nightcap.

Alpha10 (738) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 10, 2013
2013/12/11 - Pours a dark brown cola colour with a frothy, khaki head that reduces to a lingering surface film. Aroma is rich milk chocolate and dark fruit (cherries?). Taste is rich milk chocolate and vanilla up front with a dark fruit aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium, with a creamy texture, soft carbonation and a mildly bitter finish. A very chocolate centric stout that makes a great dessert beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
