Brewed with well water (the original well, sunk in 1758, is still in use with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), the gently roasted organic cocoa extract impart a delicious, smooth and creamy character, with inviting deep flavours and a delightful finish - this is a marriage of satisfying stout and luxurious chocolate.

Pours dark with a thick off white head and tons of lace. Aroma is a strong rich chocolate and vanilla. Taste is like a chocolate pudding pie with vanilla notes. Very full and chewy with a lingering sweet chocolate finish.

Darn near a desert beer! Chocolate is the prominent taste on this light bodied stout. Tastes almost like a beer flavored cocoa. Well balanced and very smooth. Could easily drink more than one, but I️ would imagine they would start to get too sweet after a few. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Super chocolate aroma and taste - quite surprising for a stout so thin. Enjoyable.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2017 Bottle. Black with a lovely white/beige head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of cocoa and milk chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, cocoa, milk chocolate and a little hint of vanilla. Some fruitiness (red berries) and mild bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Very balanced. Nice for dessert, would probably go very well with a brownie cheesecake.

Rating rewrited from notes.
Intensive aroma of sweet, belgium chocolate. In taste sweet with a lot of cocoa, roastiness dominated by chcocalate flavours. Low bitterness, but noticeable. Dark brown colour. Thick, frothy, beige head. I have naver drink a beer with such delicious chocolate flavours.

beern (221) - Alabama, USA - NOV 17, 2017
Pours black and opaque with a nice 3-finger frothy tan head with decent to good retention and an aroma of chocolate and malt. Tastes of sweet cocoa, ie. hot chocolate mix. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. The finish is pure, raw cocoa with mild bitterness for balance. The organic cane sugar is clearly present. There is a little brewed coffee.

First Sam Smith I have ever had and will judge all others by this masterpiece, no way I can drink more than 2, very sweet and chocolaty.
