12 ounce bottle- poured out a slightly translucent chestnut brown with a moderate tan head. Aroma was dark cherries and chocolate. The taste was an almost cloyingly sweet chocolate cherry with a wet cardboard finish. Palate was smooth, but overwhelmed by the sweet cherry. Not Smith’s best.

Clear dark brown pour with a thin fine-grained tan head. Notes of cocoa nibs, chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, light hops, light metallic bitterness. Really easy to drink, medium body and carbonation, tons of chocolate in the aftertaste. Simple, clean, delicious.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2017 Sitting outside on a Saturday afternoon after a hard fought kids soccer game. Taste as you would expect a good chocolate stout to taste.

Black color with some dark brown around the edges. A creamy, khaki colored head of thick foam. Has a melted chocolate chip morsel and watery malt flavor combo that is a bit detracting, but it is still a good enough stout. Smooth and drinkable, just a bit generic in its delivery.

Akin to chocolate flavoured Coca Cola. Overly sweet and artificial tasting. Quite disgusting.

Bottle at Pudel, thanks Marduk. Pours dark brown, thick beige head stays. Aroma of nutella, nuts, chocolate. Very sweet. Taste is sweet, milk chocolate, nuts, vanilla, nutella. Medium bodied, average carbo. Vert sweet brew, but still drinkable and enjoyable. Nice!

sjogro (4380) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2017
Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Opaque dark brown with thin offwhite head. Sweet roasted malts, hazlenut, cocoa and custard. Burnt coffee with a lot of sweetener, vanilla icecream and milk skin. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Maakun (5991) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2017
Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Very dark brown with beige head. Sweet cocoa, hazelnuts, sugar, Nutella, ice coffee, light creamy, old wood, caramel. Quite sweet and light metallic bitter. Under medium bodied with slick feel.

Black with a dense brown head. Caramel, vanilla and milk chocolate are the main aromas. Soft and sweet with a gentle lactose finish. Plenty of chocolate here. Perhaps more of a bitter dark chocolate would give it more depth. Overall a very nice light bodied milk stout.
