COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Golden colour, floral bouquet and light flavour of newly mowed hay.

Brewed with great care using only malted barley, hops, medium-soft water and a bottom-fermenting yeast; matured at low temperatures to bring out its delicate flavour and soft hop-character finish.

The cold maturation period allows the bottom-fermenting yeasts to secondary ferment and improve the lager’s flavour, purity and condition.

Pale yellow color. Straw and corn aroma. Dry, simple, with a strong bitterness.

Koelschtrinker (20399) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 7, 2011
8/9/10/9/11/9

Bottle at friends - 27/08/12. Clear pale gold with a thin white head and lively carbonation present. Sweet pale malt on the nose allied to grain, cereals, touch of citrus and a good dash of honey. Taste follows nose and you get a little honey in a fairly sweet finish. Medium bodied, carbonation was surprisingly low on the palate when contrasted with its visual appearance.

Draught at Princess Lousie, London. Pale golden beer, decent head. Citrus and hop aroma. Citrus flavor, some bread, some grass.

harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2005
Bottled at The Champion, London Xmas Pub Crawl. Must admit I prefered the Organic lager that Chris_o had. Thin white head tops a lager gold body. Lager hop nose, bit thin in mouth, but mostly inoffensive. Nose as it goes down gets progressively more sickly

As lagers go, this is one of the best - great cookie-like maltiness.

chrisv10 (17435) - DENMARK - AUG 28, 2011
Bottle. Slightly hazy golden with small white head. Flavour is malt, little sweet, hops, hay and a little bitter.

yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 28, 2006
Bottled. Clear, pale golden with a white head. Malt, some grain and apple-fruityness in the aroma. The flavor has a malty sweetness, well balanced with the hops. Medium body and a nice apple-fruity finish. Stick to the ales, Samuel Smith. (061124)
