BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 26, 2011
[keg at Cramond Inn, Edinburgh] Nut brown, thick white head from the pour. Very cold as on keg, not much aroma. Once it warms, some bready malt on the nose. Quite nice mild roast palate, slightly bitter finish, but nothing too crazy. A decent, doughy, bitter [26092011]

August 15, 2011 - draught at Duke of Argyll, Soho. Amber-gold, clear, milky off-white creamy nitro head. Apart from the nitro tang, it smells floral, sweet - mild, mostly. Clean taste - floral, sweet but not as, coy light grain - airy mouthfeel, not all that carbonated - mostly I got nitro on the palate. Meh...

Draught at Princess Louise, London. Golden beer with a nicre steady creamy offwhite head. Quitediscreet malty aroma. Hoppy grassy bitter flavor, metal notes. Nice lacing.

On tap at the Duke of Argyll, Soho. Not as much in terms of flavour profile as the OBB, but a thicker mouthfeel and a lot smoother.

Samuel Smiths slightly stronger bitter and one up from Old Brewery. Same golden brown hue, creamy head, lovely bready aroma, but taste is less complex than Old Brewery. A good session beer though, but if I had a choice it would be Old Brewery.

Draught at Robert Raikes House, Gloucester - 30/10/10. Nice looking beer though served quite cold. Very smooth to drink and then bitter on the palate.

Cask at Bricklayers Arms. Pours a clear, honey hue with a thick, creamy white head. Malty aroma and very, very doughy, with some light florals. Sweet flavor with more bread and dough, along with biscuite followed by some light, earthy bitterness in Phase II. Medium in body with fine, extremely smooth and creamy carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet with some lingering dough and faint bitters. I really liked it.

On tap at Princess Louise. Both the taste and smell of this beer was very weak. The only comment I left was bread but it was just the faintest hint of it. The mouthfeel was at least smooth and creamy, but the body was very light. An easy to drink beer, almost like drinking water. Well it lacked flavour but at least it looked and felt nice.

Cask. Pours golden amber with a thin head. Sweet and biscuity malts with a light underlying hoppy note. Not bad.

From a pint pour from a keg at The Falcon in Chester, England. An amber color with a foamy white head that old lacing. Nose of caramel malts with floral hops. Medium body and a slick mouthtfeel. Flavor is malts with some floral hops in the background. . Finish is bitter. A actually quite decent, but compared to the Old Brewery Bitter falls a tiny bit short.
