Pint in the Waterguard, Cardiff. Fresh aroma of scents. Clear light copper colour, maybe more on the golden side with a thin white head. fruity taste with floral notes. Crisp tangy bitter. Just felt fresh and great to drink. Leighton (21083) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2010
Cask at Bricklayers Arms. Pours a clear, honey hue with a thick, creamy white head. Malty aroma and very, very doughy, with some light florals. Sweet flavor with more bread and dough, along with biscuite followed by some light, earthy bitterness in Phase II. Medium in body with fine, extremely smooth and creamy carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet with some lingering dough and faint bitters. I really liked it. Beth101 (531) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2008
dark honey colour with a decent sized head. Had a slight smell of hops with an average beer taste. mR_fr0g (11904) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2015
Cask at the princess Louise in holburn. Golden clear coloured pour with a cascading creamy head. Aroma is nutty base malts, some raisin. Flavour is composed of nutty malts with a little caramel, raisin and dried fruits, tangy fruit in the finish. Palate is creamy with moderate carbonation, very easy going. Thick lace on the glass. I enjoyed this, classic bitter. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - FEB 19, 2005
Slightly musty nose, gold color, creamy nitro head. Creamy malt taste with a low bitter. Smooth texture with a medium body. Quick profile. Could use more hops - lots more. All in all a quality beer.

Great smooth bitter, had this on tap at a small pub in the picadilly area of London. If I ever go back I’ll definitely have this again. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 14, 2010

From a pint pour from a keg at The Falcon in Chester, England. An amber color with a foamy white head that old lacing. Nose of caramel malts with floral hops. Medium body and a slick mouthtfeel. Flavor is malts with some floral hops in the background. . Finish is bitter. A actually quite decent, but compared to the Old Brewery Bitter falls a tiny bit short. ralphdot (1092) - Billingham, Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2011
4.1% light amber colour with a good head, slight hop aroma, sweet bitter taste, not as good as the Old Brewery Bitter.
