Urine yellow out of the little 180ml bottle with little head and a sweet banana smell. Heavy caremel sweetness with some subtle hop notes in there. Tastey beer but it sure didn't seem like a barley wine to me.

Dark golden beer with little head. Caramel, nuts and port aromas, with some alcohol present. Sweetish flavour with some light alcohol too. Very warm and round mouthfeel.

Bottled. Clear, golden BW with a small white head. Sweet aroma with malt, alcohol and honey. Alcohol, sugar and some bitterness in the flavor. Warming, full body. Delicious, lovely, warming and sweet beer that would suit the winter better than the summer. (060801)

Bottle. Head was small rocky and white that was quickly gone. Fair lacing. Body was clear and amber. Aroma was heavy malt, with notes of molasses, caramel, grain, hay, toffee, burnt, nutty. Some flowers, leather, and wood with vinous or almost Port like notes as well. Full bodied with a slight alcoholic texture and a soft carbonation. Flavor was moderated to heavy sweet with light bitter notes. Finish was sweet, slightly alcoholic and average lasting. I thought this was a quit pleasing Barley Wine and my first attempt at this style!

180ml bottle. Shared with Tranquility. Dark brown, viscous, no head. Dark grainy malty aroma. Yeasty bent to a very strong malt taste. A very good barley wine - alcohol carried very well, not dominant at all, simply warming. As time goes on I also get apple and treacle out of the taste, and perhaps a hint of some kind of sharp spice.

(Bottled) Slightly hazy amber-golden with a small head. Aroma of sweet malt, brown sugar, hints of chlorine, vanilla, anise. Sweetish, very grainy-malty flavor with dried fruitiness and brown sugar, some vanilla and light spiciness. Like a sweet dessert wine. Medium to full body with low carbonation. A very balanced and quite enjoyable, although not hugely complex, dessert barley wine.
