330 or 355 mL bottle shared by ebone1988. Im not sure of the bottle or can size, but here it is. The pour is a darker brown, very clear with some amber shining through. There is a decent khaki colored head and a nice bit of lace left behind. The aroma is light. There is a chocolate and sweet caramel to this one up front with a light roasted malt, and a touch of nuttiness. Everything is just light, and I wish there was more depth. The flavor is much of the same. The roasted malt comes through first with a light chocolate and a hint of some caramel. A metallic component takes over the finish. The mouth feel is decent with a softer carbonation and a malty, bitter nuttiness, and a hint of metallic on the finish. Its really quick fading as well. This isnt bad, but its going in a decent direction. 6 4 6 3 13

Bottle from Merchants. Bottle shared with koleminer20, for the book. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, slightly nutty, nice. Appearance is dark brown, light brown head, clear. Taste is roasted malt, nutty, dark chocolate, metallic, falls off quick. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, roasted malt and slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, its pretty good, though I wish it was more robust. Samuel Smith beers always fall off quicker than I want.

tricksta_p (4561) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2017
Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, some roast and quite some liquorice, bit sugary, touch of dark fruits, raisins and dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate roasty bitter. Body is medium. Nice classic Porter, very drinkable.

3.7
MelvinKalksma (1517) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 3, 2017

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, liquorice, chocolate and roasted malts.

Appearance:
Opaque black beer with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts.

Overall:
This beer is intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. Really flavourful and especially for its abv, but it is all thanks to that abysmal cane sugar again. Perfect appearance and a great palate, but the aroma could have been a lot stronger.

Wychodzi ?liwka, lekka s?odycz, kompletnie brakuje goryczki. Little plum and sweetness, defenitly missing bitterness.

ArtificialCyst (1177) - Szczecin, POLAND - MAR 6, 2017
Aroma: Caramel, some roast, nuts. Appearance: Brown body, nice head. Taste: Not too sweet, caramelly, lightly roasty, notes of nuts, light hoppy spice. Palate: Semi-dry finish, medium body, low carbonation.

3.3
oobawa (1318) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 4, 2017
Decent old-school porter, offering up roasted malt with a mocha-ish backbone, coupled with a mild cherry-apricot tang and a mild English hop bitterness. Dry despite the added sugar, with a raisin-chocolate undercurrent that comes through as it warms. Finishes yeasty and has a bit of a neutral fade. Drinkable, yet kinda hard to appreciate after so many amazing American porters.

En god porter, litt mildere enn andre. En l kose seg med. Begynte p fem grader, ble bedre da den ble varmere.
