3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: Pretty light on the aroma... a bit of malt.
A: Looks great. Pours a little thin but the head is a great cream color. Otherwise dark black.
T: Taste is alright. Roasty, malty. Nothing special but pretty solid. A bit of acidity in the finish. Very earthy as well. Hint of vanilla... agressive bitterness on the finish.
P: Sits pretty agressive. Medium/light body.
Overall a nice porter but not my favorite. There are some good notes of roastiness and malt is well balanced but overall the beer is a little light... The finish has a bit too much bitterness and a touch of acidity. I’m not really impressed by this beer and there are other porters I would rather reach for.
Appearance- very dark brown/black, a 3-finger thick light brown head which hangs around. Aroma- chocolate malt, coffee, toffee, hint of leather, toasty malt. Taste- smooth chocolate, dark malt, hint of burnt toast and smoke, caramel, biscuity malt, coffee, a bit of treacle toffee in the finish. Smooth and satisfying mouthfeel. Very nice. Creamy and smooth. A nicely well-balanced Porter. I quite like it. It goes down very easily but has a bit of a metallic aftertaste

Very dark brown pour with a tall tan head. Notes of chocolate, roast, molasses, brown sugar, light pine and bittering hops. A bit watery, but otherwise decent porter.

Light bod, some grapes, winey things there, a bit of fruit and apples I feel among the licorice, fairly carbonated
