4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Get at least one bottle every winter for years. kind of suprised I have never rated this one. Anyways, it is a really good brew that is amber in color with a nice head on it that holds for a while then leaves a lace. Aroma and taste is what I would expect from a pale ale with a little less hops. So while it is a plain brew it has become a winter tradition and the bottles look good in the collection.
Aroma is roasted malts, honey, and a touch of citrus. Taste is light sweet malts, toffee and some light herbs. The light earthiness and traditional tasty mineral notes rounds out the profile. higgsbison (261) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 20, 2017
Nice beer, A hearty English ale. Sweet and malty with notes of biscuit. Slightly bitter long-lasting aftertaste gives it a nice balance. One of my favorite winter ales
July 2017. Really enjoying this beer. This time I am noticing Pepper notes in the very long lasting bitter aftertaste. The bitterness is not offputting it is nicely balanced and refreshing. It kind of reminds me of rogue's dead Guy ale

Pours a small amount of foamy head and has a clear, light copper appearance. Aromas of light malts, hops and some spices. Flavours of roasted malts, goldings hops, light spices, a touch of cinnamon and even a little bit of a syrup, like maple but very faint. Fairly bland mouthfeel, not much feeling. Not bad but not much of a winter warming beer. A bit disappointing. Mister_Li (1528) - GERMANY - MAY 5, 2017

Glad to see a lot of christmas spirit beer. This one is a bit spicy, worth trying. Almogabar (72) - MARIA DE HUERVA (ZARAGOZA), SPAIN - MAR 3, 2017
Bottle. Very malty (roasted & biscuity) fruity winter ale. Smooth, full-bodied. Nice hop balance & dry finish. Liked this. Nice beer. (2008)

Rust in colour with a thick white head. Burnt caramel and sweet bread aroma. The beer is very sweet with a lingering after taste. BenL8 (245) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 27, 2017
Clear dark amber colour, no head. Aroma is sweet and malty, biscuity and full of of toffee. Flavour is very English, malty and nicely bitter. Fuggles and EKG are very noticeable. Very nice!
