Cask at the Cittie of York, London. Pours a clear, effervescent golden-brown with a foamy, off-white head. Weak toasty malt aroma. Flavor is lightly sweet with some faint caramel, toast, and very mild, leafy bitterness. Light in body with fine, tingly carbonation. Light sweet finish, some toasty and doughy malts, light fruits making an appearance. A very basic beer overall. Nothing really wrong, but it’s just pretty damn bland. Tap. Dark brown color with a modest off-white head. Bready malts on the nose. The taste is dry, biscuity, fresh and watery. The mouthfeel’s light and creamy, soft carbonation. Another one of Sam Smith’s easy-drinking, good but nothing special bitters. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 1, 2012
At duke of argyll, soho. Copper pour, lighter caramel malt aroma, smells like a mash. Light bitterness, watery flavor. Ok minutemat (6262) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2014
Cask @ Head of Steam, Huddersfield. Didn’t notice the % til after I’d paid.. according to the pumpclip this was 2.8%. Very bland, tasteless watery bitter although the hops do come through a little on the palette. Better than nothing I suppose.

Cask in the City of york, Holborn. Alround rating: Starts thin and a bit fucked really, but then moves onto a far more malty and complex beast, as it warms tabasco and brett start to come through and by the end its reminisant of harveys pale ale. Good show for the %. Eructoblaster (4458) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 26, 2012
On tap at Duke of Argyll (London, UK). Limpid amber body with a nice off-white creamy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with nutty hints. Taste is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors. It carries subtle woody and grainy notes. Ends with a decent bitter finish. Easy-to-drink Bitter. s_hartshorne (2840) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2014

Pint in The White Horse, Soho. Pours red/copper. Very clear, minimal head. At first nose and flavour is really subtle, but after a few sips there’s caramel malt and fruitiness coming through. Bit of tropical fruit on the nose. Very very light bodied though. kwik-lime (2117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 15, 2011
Perfectly drinkable, balanced, smooth bitter. Reasonably pleasant malt character but overall not very complex or memorable. Not one to seek out.
