3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy red/amber with a medium sized white head that leaves good lace. Smells of red fruit and malt sweetness, touch of earthy hops. Tastes thee same. Red fruit and sweet malts with a slight building bitterness on the finish. Full body, mellow carbonation.
Draught at GABF... Orange brown/tan. Huge caramels, grapefruit, fruit snacks like almost artificial fruit. Very potent. Taste follows suite and ends huge bitter. ghawener (1607) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - JAN 6, 2011

Clear copper red with a fizzy tan head. Nice citrus caramel aroma and tastes of grapefruit and a solid caramel back bone. Ballanced toward the malty side. Ungstrup (37889) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 8, 2010

Toasted dark malts, pine, butterscotch, caramel notes. Dark reddish brown with a white head and whispy lace. Flavor is toasted dark malts, rich buttery caramel, grassy pine hops and some citrus notes but the slick buttery note kills it for me. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - APR 3, 2010
Growler shared by riversideak via snojerk. Pours a clear yet dark maple brown with a amber tint and good size off white head. Piney resin, light smoke, rasin bread and quite a bit of butter. Decent carb with an oily sticky feel. Light sweet caramel and bread up front with piney hops, vanilla, ginger bread and butter. Taste is a bit better than the nose, in terms of butter and I really want like this, but the butter. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - APR 3, 2010
Thanks riversideak! pours dark ruby, rich raspberry caramel aroma. some warm butter on the palate, more caramel and dark fruits. little hot finish. Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 7, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2011 On tap 3/7/10 at SD Brewing Co in Mission Gorge. Nose is light sweet fruit and sugar. Not much of a nose. Taste is light and sweet. Some maltiness and a bit of floral. Eh. Rerate from 3.3 to 3.7 on 1/14/11. Ruby amber with forever head. Floral hops and pinetrees. Sweet and sharp. Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 4, 2010
Tap @ SD Brew Co. Pours a deep, mostly clear copper color with a big sea foam like off white head, nice lacing. Citrus and piny hops were abundant with some deep roasted malts and a touch of caramel. Flavor was similar with a big sticky finish.
