No real colour, pours to a white head that falls off to nothing in a second flat. No lacing. Low malt notes if any. Bitter but not from hops almost artificial flavour. This beer is bloating and needs to be chilled to near zero to reduce to high carbonation. I am not sure why this one gets accolades as it is just another pale lager brewed from heavy use of corn sugar or similar adjunct. .

Piepenhenrich (1230) - Steinbach, GERMANY - OCT 31, 2017
Bottle from Asia shop in Frankfurt. Standard Lager, pretty mediocre, really nothing special. Drinkable, but I don’t see a point in importing it.

330ml bottle into pint glass. Amber beer with frothy white head. Low carbonation. Sweet plasticine nose, some grain. Light taste of toasted grain. Finish is long with a little grain. Drinkable.

All the panache, flavor and presence of wilted iceberg lettuce on a hot day. A cold swallow refreshes briefly but is then followed by a slightly foul aftertaste. I will never buy this beer again.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2017 One of many, but first time I've rated this. On tap at B.A.T.S., Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta on 19-Sep-2017. Clear golden amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet crystal malt and grain. Light to medium body and carbonation. Taste of sweet malt, grain, funk and citrus. Lightly hopped and bittersweet.

BB 07 04 18. Poured a perfect crystal clear amber with a one-finger white foamy head that diminished quickly and laced poorly. Aroma sweet with malt and grain and a hint of metal; no obvious hops. Taste of sweet grainy malt with a bit of tartness; no real hops. Light body with a very thin mouthfeel. Crisp and slightly dry with quite a sweet finish that lingers a bit. Another pale lager.

Juks (1054) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 10, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours clear golden, bubbly white head, doesn’t stay. Weak corny, lagery aroma, grainy. Taste of wet paper, grain, butter. Greasy finish. Light bodied, average carbo. Not the worst one, but still..

I tried this beer when I was an airman stationed in the Philippines with the US Air Force. I was at Clark Air Force Base, Angeles City in the Philippines and this beer was the local beer. It was never consistent as far as alcohol content but it was the beer that everyone drank. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Als Freund von kraftvollen Lagerbieren war ich wirklich überrascht am anderen Ende der Welt ein solches "Lerckerli" gefunden zu haben.
