Kauge (2119) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 1, 2017
50 cl bottle at Pompei restaurant in Pula. BB 06.2019. Brown with light beige head. Very smooth and velvety, only slightly grainy. Tasteful, chocolaty, somewhat roasty and (black) bready, tad bit metallic. Very-very nice, I loved this!

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 En øl med en del humle i sig. Den balanceres fint af sødmen i øllen også. En god øl med noter af karamel

Palate: Light body, gentle carbonation. Taste: Roasted malt, chocolate, bread; Gentle sweetness and light bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: Pleasant and tasty, light, very drinkable.

dzurek (425) - Szczecin, POLAND - JUL 31, 2017
Barwa ciemno brązowa, klarowna. Piana w miarę trwała, drobnopęcherzykowa, oblepia szkło. Aromat delikatnie palony, czekoladowy. W smaku słodowość, paloność i delikatny karmel. Goryczka niska, wysycenie średnie. Nic szczególnego.

GustavJ (67) - Drammen, NORWAY - JUL 19, 2017
Bottle from a restaurant in Rovinj. Dark brown, almost black. Nice beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Bittersweet tast with notes of chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The malt is far from as heavy as the color can imply, with body light to medium. Roasted malt in front, but no pronounced burnt character. That’s why it’s misleading when the beertype is called brother of porter (London porter). It have more in common with a traditional dark English mild (difficult to find). Unlike many dark ales, the butteryness is absent, and the fruityness is very low. So it’s no doubt that the beer type can be categorized within the Bavarian tradition. Read; clear and pure flavor profile. I think this beer from San Servolo is in the top class in together with the best samples from Germany and Japan (!).

Nikokaoja (380) - Ljubljana, SLOVENIA - JUL 12, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2017 10. 7. 2017, Klimno. Bottled. Mediocre dark beer with some roasted malts. Nothing out of the ordinary. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
