Bottle: Slightly hazy amber with a thick, light tan head. Nutty, slightly roasted aroma. Flavour is caramel malt, nuts....a little toasty.. Mild, earthy-leafy bitter....a touch of a metallic note....... Pretty decent.

Dark copper/amber with thin head. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. Medium body, medium caramel sweetness, and toasted malt. Not much hop character.

12oz bottle, from Brennan’s in Wisconsin. Purchased during my stay for GTMW. Clear red, amber, kind of light brown color. Pours with a thin fizzing finger of khaki head, that slowly fizzes away to a thin amount, leaves a few loose dots of lace. Up front in the aroma, there’s some chocolate, nuttiness, and dark fruit. Mostly sweet dark fruity malts to the flavor. Some toastiness comes out later. The name kind of implies that this is an ESB, but there’s very little hop character to it. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitter. Medium body. Kind of smooth, lightly soft lighter carbonation, with a slick finish. Alright amber ale overall. Decent to enjoy with my sandwich.

Bottle - Nice clear brown pour with a lovely creamy light tan head. Nose is lightly toasted malt, butter, and a light herbal hopping. Taste has much of the butteryness, with lightly toasted malt, a sugary sweetness, and an off sourness. Light herbal hopping. Medium-thin and overcarbonated. Not good.

Twelve ounce bottle from Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club. Large off white head, medium red/amber hue, light to moderate and somewhat refined malty nose, medium bittersweet flavor (with the balance tilting slightly to the bitter) that like a cross between a bitter and an amber. Interesting, sessionable brew.

16oz glass pours a red-copper with a medium head and nice lacing. Sweet English malt little hops, slightly bitter.

Bottle from Woodman’s Foods in Onalaska, WI. Somewhat hazy brown pour with a smaller white head. I’m not digging the aroma/odor of this thing - stale grass or hay or something. Taste isn’t so bad - roasted malts, mild caramel sweetness.

Very generic, light yeast, toasty malts, easy drinking but over unmemorable.
