2009 bottle from my RB fantasy football league winnings. Pours black with thin head. A little sweet molasses mixes with licorice, ash, and some chocolate. Just a bit of dark fruit adds a dimension I could do without. Moderate thickness. Very enjoyable...
12 oz bottle pours a dark brown/black with small tan head and only spots of lacing. Aroma is full of licorice and dark fruits with some chocolate and brown sugar. Taste is syrupt sweet with i short, slightly drier finish. Body is medium to full, with only slight carbonation and an oily/creamy mouthfeel. This is what I hope for every time I check out a new regular porter. Well worth checking out. DasBierChef (1084) - Hudson, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 17, 2011
A very tasty beer, lots of good chocolatey notes and malty sweetness. So nice. Styles (2016) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - AUG 26, 2010
Brown almost black, minimal head. Aroma full of dark grain, roasty, coffee, burnt toast. Flavor dominated by coffee, residuel sweetness in the backend. Slight oxidation. Coffee finish goes on forever. Not my thing. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 3, 2010
Bottle:   Nearly Black pour, otherwise a very very dark Brown, thin beige sudsy head, falls quickly, spotty lacing.   Heavy roasted malt nose, slightly sweet, minor lactose and charred wood.   A bit oily on the
tongue, light bitterness, roasty, lactose sweetness bringing up the backside.   Body is moderate, mouthfeel has a bit of a silky feel to it.   Has a touch of apple skin on the finish.   Smooth, this one works for me.
Thanks for the bottles Tom!

Bottle donated to the cause by eaglefan538...and it’s good that he did because I seemed to enjoy this much more than he did. Pour was dark with thick foamy head. A wonderful roasty/chocolate aroma. The flavor contained rich roasted malts with some sweet boozy chocolate. Well balanced and no off flavors. I thought this was quite delicious. esjaygee (3906) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 8, 2009
Very dark ruby red with a one finger tan head that goes away quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice with some raisons and dark fruits. Taste is pretty heavy on the licorice with brown sugar, roasted malts, alcohol, dark chocolate and notes of coffee. Pretty full bodied for a porter, goes down fairly smooth too. Moderate warming effects, overall not too shabby. Sammy (12769) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 9, 2009
A very good porter, thick and black. Chocolate and mollasses. Very drinkable, satisfying, a bit on sweet side. SudsMcDuff (8499) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - APR 11, 2009

GABF 2008 at Dr. Bill’s tasting. Dark brown pour with small tan head. Nose of fruit, dark chocolate and toffee. Flavor is sweet with some wood added in there.
