Smooth consistency and nice blackish color. Has a good taste to start, mostly coffee flavor with a bit of chocolate. Finshes with a "alcohol" type taste though. Where’s the oatmeal? ;-)
Listed as 5.6% on tap at Hopcat Madison, WI. Pours an opaque black with fluffy tan head that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of mild milk chocolate, deep roast, and sweet malts. Tap at The Old Fashioned in Madison, WI. Clear cola red pour with weak foam. Nose of sweet cherry and prune. Licorice and cocoa flavor, richer body, slight oiliness. Very drinkable.

Sampled from the tap at Winter Dabbler. Pours a deep brown with dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of roasetd malts, dark grains and a bit of earthy chocolate.
