Not too shabby. Rusty amber with a small white head. Notes of malt, citrus, pine, and caramel. Medium body, smooth feel. The flavor was nicely bitter cut with just a touch of sweetness. Pretty fair brew. Jabswitch (278) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 31, 2006
Middle of the road IPA. Thin head, slightly hazy gold in appearance. Good strong IPA bite. Aroma was slightly citrus. A solid ale, but there was nothing about it that put it in the upper echelon of IPAs. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 23, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2006 in bottle. dark gold with large bubbly head - chunky looking. great hop aroma, mild scent of grapefruit. mild hope resins, piney mild citrus flavor. Green hop finish. palate needs a bit more malt - medium palate. UPDATE 12/2006: Beer of the month club selection from pman. Still like the great fresh pine tree aroma. Smooth, yet has a strong hop content. Very drinkable. Great head retention. I like this much better than my original rating of 3. realale420 (399) - west covina, California, USA - AUG 21, 2006
12oz bottle (thanks to buckybeer) poured a slightly hazy pale/gold color with a great rocky head and nice lacing around the glass. The aromas were right on the money with a good malt backing and nice floral piney/citrus hops. Taste had good bitterness that faded to a big hop flavored dry finish. buckybeer (666) - Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 18, 2006
I have really developed a taste for IPA’s. I have not tasted one that has been bad. Maybe it is a tough style to screw up. Medium amber with nice fluffy head. Great hoppy pine aroma. Citrus and hop flavor. Nice and refreshing.

12 oz bottle and served in a pint glass: Poured a hazed sunset amber topped by a a huge overflowing frothy head, made me worry about infection. But alas it was likely due to a aggressive pour and bottle conditioning. The nose detects the standard IPA character of pine, grass, grapefruit, and pepper along with biscuity malt and dusty yeast esters. The taste is much more subdued with a nice hop bitterness and hop spice nature over a laden field of pale and crystal malt. Astringent on the edge of the palate but lacks depth and a knockout punch. The bottle appear to be eight months old so that could explain the missing bite. All in all it is an acceptable IPA and worthy of a try. Dhrjericho (66) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 11, 2006
Poured a light amber color. Aroma was very hoppy with a nice combo of pine and citrus. Flavor continues the trend with nice citrus hop notes and a nice sweet finish. thegreenrooster (4484) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 11, 2006
Pour is a cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is nice. Lots of pine hop and a aroma simular to rye. Flavor is not as good as the aroma but there are some hint of hops and the malts come out more in the flavor. Not the best IPA by far. If the flavor was equal to the aroma this would be a winner. bottle-thanks to vyvvy for this one. I didn’t think it was as bad as he did. however, this is just a run-of-the mill session ipa. clear orange with a small sudsy white head. big hoppy nose! fresh passionfruit, green, and lots of character. flavors are not as hoppy as i was expecting from the nose. fairly boring and one-dimensional hop flavor at the finish which became metallic after a few sips. somewhat muddled finish with no distinct flavors. not bad, but not great either.
