Woody's Wheat is a classic hefe-weizen, lightly hopped, with a smooth finish and clove and banana overtones.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2004 Bottled. Pours a fizzy, short-lived wheat head. Smell didn't hit my nose right, I got an antihistamine spray impression. Color is dark for a wheat, and cloudiness is minimal (but there's quite a bit of sediment in the bottle, odd considering I bought it four months ago). Odd fruity taste, more bubble gum than banana, a touch of clove, some lemon, and maybe pear. Banana aspect does come up toward the end I may not have a handle on the style, but this seems a bit odd to me.

From file last updated 2010. As Wisconsin Wood Duck Wheat. Bottle. Aroma is mildly clove/banana. Flavor a bit wheaty. Drinkable.

Aroma is lemons, wheat and grainy. The flavor is lemons, light bubblegum/hint of bananas, wheat and a tart blueberry/raspberry finish.

Hazy color, with excessive banana or lemon flavor, can't tell which. Not a huge fan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"generic" light yellow with small white head that quickly disappears. Lively carbonation. Aroma as advertised but not too pronounced, same with flavor. Body has a little something to it. ok.

Bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a thin foamy white head. Nose is overripe tropical fruit, sugary bubble gum, and a hint of clove. Taste is roughly the same, though very little clove comes through. Tastes watery and sugary at the same time, and has that same overripe fruit note. Mineral notes on the finish. A bit overcarbonated, with a medium-thin fluffy body. I had this years ago before I drank some of the classic German versions, and I can see now that this pales in comparison.

Enjoyed at the Sand Creek Brewpub in Cedarburg, WI while hanging out with my father in law on a nice cool summer day. This was OK, pretty standard, average weiss beer. Appearance is cloudy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of very light clove and banana notes. Taste was a bit syrupy I’d say, but consistent with the style. Decent beer.

Very pale golden color, has the typical banana clove scent and taste, not overly sweet though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from Old Fashion Madison. Cloudy gold in color with a whitish head. Nice, refreshing, and crisp with hints of spice and lemony citrus flavors. Light and drinkable.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 8, 2011
Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a thick frock of white foam and lots of carbonation. Aroma is hops and spices. Nice and creamy on the palate, the taste is a mild blend of wheat, citrus and spices. Very pleasant, especially as a summer brew. Its light yet complex body make it a great companion to light cheese, white meat deli sandwiches or fruit.
