A uniform white cap is worn by this truly murky golden body. Limited maltiness in the nose, but the yeast procures abundant banana and cloves notes into a globally very bubble gummy desserty and crusty wheat field flavor profile. Medium bodied, ful small bubbled carbonation, a bit short in flavor, but accurate and tasty. MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - OCT 16, 2005
At the brewery: Poured cloudy yellow with a small white head. Mild banana and spice aroma. Nice full flavored hefe- light banana and moderately spicy. Very well made, this is a very good beer. Not surprising Sandlot won some GABF medals. Oakes (17680) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 10, 2005
Very hazy light yellow appearance. Fresh pale malt aroma with light banana notes. Sweet, creamy character, fresh-tasting with the esters and phenols kept rather subdued, leaving the focus to the pale malts. willblake (2654) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - OCT 8, 2005
09.30.05 Tap at brewpub. Super clouded white-yellow looks like a glass of grapefruit juice. Great aroma and flavors of dried bananas and toffee, hints of bubblegum, but where’s the spice, just a touch? Full body but plenty of eff from mid to end. Bit chalky as it finishes is somewhat off-putting. whaleman (2178) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 4, 2005
Draught at the Sandlot. Cloudy deep straw body with a pure white head. Aroma has medium banana and bubble gum esters with a soft clove note and good yeast character. Pineapple citrus flavor with a smooth phenolic and lightly bitter finish. Medium, wheaty texture. Solid, stylish hefe.

tap at coors field in Denver-pours a darker than normal light amber hue with lots of cloudy yeast particles. aroma of banana, clove and lemon. flavors are very similar and have a very citrus-y ring to them. went very well with the foot-long brat i had at the game. Yellow, greenish shine. Nearly no head. Nose with obligatory banana - cloves, but OK. Quite sweet, a bit too for my liking, bubblegum. Tinge of mint in the flavour. Medium-bodied. Typical, and it would fit in Germany, very true to the originals.
