Can at L42 - thanks to LKS. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The aroma is sweaty, sticky, toasted malt, burnt pin, greenness and charred wood. The taste is bitter - sweet, charred wood, coffee grounds, roasted malt, toasty grain, tar and liquoirce. Medium body and fine carbonation. Perhaps a bit raw. Not bad. September 2017 - Tasting at One Canada Square. Can thanks to Leighton. As 'Sanitas Black IPA'. Dark brown with a red hue, foamy light brown head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is cola, twiggy, a little buttery. Body is light and slightly frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is cola, twiggy, floral, salty, burnt biscuits and pine. Nice – quite a rich flavour to it. Draft (nitro). Pours black with thick, light tan head. Malt with some pine and toffee aroma. Coffee with some citrus hop notes. Malt overwhelms the palate. slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 2, 2017
Dark brown pour. Sharp pine and cocoa on the nose. Thin body. A little too aggressive on the bitter hops and the pine and dark malt competes for your attention rather than complimenting each other. Just ok.
