On tap @ Sanitas. Golden pour with a white head. Banana candy, sugar, and metal. Apple juice, pepper, and water. Maybe some paper. Gets more and more sugary. Flavor is banana candy, metal, and paper. Bitter pepper, tart, a bit solventy, and green apple skin. Really astringent. Ratman197 (14826) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 18, 2013
On tap at Sanitas poured a clear pale yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of straw, pepper and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, pepper and light citrus with a crisp dry lingering peppery finish. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - OCT 8, 2013
On tap @ Sanitas. Pours a fairly clear yellow appearance with a white head. Apple, lemon, banana, a bit salty, chemical aroma. Tangy, metallic, banana, green apple, cheese, garbage flavor. Hard to finish more than a couple sips. BVery (10501) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JUN 11, 2014
Can from Rob - thanks! Slightly hazy yellow-orange pour with a small white ring head. Slight yeast and citrus. A touch tart on the tongue with a somewhat lively palate. Getting some apple juice. onceblind (9630) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Clear brilliant bright yellow with a thin foamy ring of head. Nice estery nose of Pilsner malt and corn chips and a wee bit of spicy dough. Spicy and estery flavor full of rye and pepper with some sweet sugary wheat/hay and a nice earthy and subdued bitterness.

Draft. Filtered clear. Dish soap and laundry detergent with banana-flavored salt water taffy, hair spray, saccharine, etc. Horribly dirty aroma, I really don’t even want to taste it. I saw TAR’s review a couple of weeks ago and I’m not trying to find the same things in this, I’m being open to it, but it really is one of the worst-smelling Belgian / saison-like beers I’ve smelled. 2 for aroma and I’m not sure why it isn’t a 1. Fizzy, sour, sweet saccharin-flavored gummy candies and laffy taffy. Light body, sweet, low bitterness, chalky yeast. Godawful. Ernest (7694) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 19, 2013
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, corn starch), trace hops (herbs), lightly yeasty (sweatsocks), with light notes of banana/gum, lemon taffy, DMS, rubber, insecticide.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
An amazingly bland rendition. Imagine blending a light Belgian blond ale 50/50 with water...no exaggeration. I mean, I realize saisons were originally a safe alternative to water and all, but...wow...it doesn’t mean the beer can’t be interesting and enjoyable (see Dupont Avril for a much lower ABV example that’s still jumping with character). It starts off with nary a head whatsoever, even when poured from a height...crystal clear as well. So, there’s nothing remotely Belgian about the appearance, it honestly looks like Coors and that ilk. I can’t imagine that’s what they wanted. Beyond the near lack of an aroma, there are some off notes as well...some cooked veggie and rubber/plastic, dirty yeast, and maybe even some fusels...so not only is there not much to entice you, there are some things to repel. Incredibly light and watery mouthfeel completes the picture. All in all an impossible beer to like. I strongly suspect the 3.8+ ratings here are from friends of the brewers, or were otherwise bribed in some way to give a good rating...there is just nothing in this beer to enjoy (and I love light, delicate beers more than most). Sure hope this company makes some changes, for their sake. Strykzone (7356) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2015
Sampled at gabf. Very clear gold. Loks like a Pils. Not sure what this us but it is unfortunate. Not a saison. Not a good beer. ajnepple (6606) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 8, 2014
Sampled at GABF. Gold with a small white head. Straw, hay, floral notes, yeast, light peppery spices and herbal hops. Something just seemed off. ben4321 (6503) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 22, 2015
Can from Whole Foods Wine and Spirits in Boulder, 11/22/15. Pours a mostly clear yellowish color. Looks almost like apple juice. Additionally, it has a white head and drippy lace. Citrus and yeast flavor and aroma. Good bit of spice. Some straw and a bit of an apple type fruitiness come through too. Light bodied with an okay mouthfeel overall. Seems a little off style for a Saison. Okay beer overall.
