Received as a gift. Sorry, I can’t drink this. For me this is horrible apple and cinnamon taste that I can’t take. Drain pour. willisread (3805) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 24, 2015
On tap at 2014 Fall Keiyaki at Saitama Super Area. I had what I thought to be reasonable expectations for this, but could not hang. Amberish brown color with a small light beige head. Strong aroma of cinnamon with slight hints of apple and persimmon. Maltiness present on the palate with a medium body and medium carbonation. Dry finish. Disappointing. Small pour on draft at Raku Beer. Hazy amber with off-white head. Aromas of cinnamon, light fruit. Tastes of cinnamon, light caramel, vanilla, subtle apples. Medium-light body with a dry finish. EdKing (2668) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2014
On keg in San Franscisco Peaks, Tokyo. Chestnut brown ale colour, off white head. Nose is vegetal, earthy hop, cinnamon, malty, dusty. Taste is malty, caramel, cinnamon, lactic, bit plasticky, crystal malty. Not much fruit. Wombata (627) - Kobe, JAPAN - SEP 8, 2014
Aroma: Bready, graham cracker, dark chocolate, spice
Flavor: Orange, graham, bread, spice. More orange on the mid-palate with moderate bittering throughout. Flavors gradually fade and leave a soft end to the finish.
Comment: Well-made, not overly sweet, better than it sounds and gets better as it warms.

Apple cinnamon in a brew, the effect works quite nicely and the balance is fine, not too sweet nor too sour. Funky cinnamon powder finish on the palate. Certainly a girl’s favorite, nice dessert drink too. KansaiBeerLvrs (5504) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 30, 2013
I finally tried this fall ale on tap at Marciero last October and was a bit disappointed. It was a nice lightly spiced ale but had virtually no apple flavor though the cinnamon came through. Once it warmed up to room temperature there may have been a hint of fruitiness. It seemed popular with ladies as it is light, refreshing & drinkable just not as much apple as I expected from the name. shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 16, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2013 Tap at Watering Hole. Dark amber colour, small golden head. Not much smell, bit of apple but can’t get the cinnamon, quite sweet. Taste is alright, apples again, sweet, very slight spice in the background. Maybe slight mulled wine taste. Pumpkin type body. Nice enough, by maybe past it’s best. Rerate 25/10/13 Taste is very brown bread, and tea. Not so much apple. Little cinnamon burn. Alright. Aroma is very grainy. No change in the score. sulawang (1210) - - JAN 23, 2012
pours red tea brown, quickly dissipating head, medium CO2 with bits of micro, ringed retention, minimal slippery retention, very few slow-moving CO2 streams. Some woody unfiltered apple juice and honey on the nose. Creamy up front, minor apple juice, traces of cinnamon, apricot, 4/10 sweetness, slight 5/10 semi-sharp bitter finish. Medium complexity, low-medium depth, okay carry, medium length, watery in the middle. Main complain is that neither the apple nor the cinnamon are prominent enough to discern. Lackluster compared to their full-bodied stout counterparts. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 25, 2010
Draft at Craftheads (Tokyo), a dark ruby brown. Baked apple on the nose. Sugary apple in the mouth, with touches of cinnamon. Quite smooth overall.
