Solid black with a thick head. Slight stout malt smell, with a sweet light vanilla. Rich and smooth palate, stonger vanilla feel. Sweet as it goes down. Leaves my mouth feeling saturated with a roasted almonds with sugar feel. No heavy taste or bad sideeffects. Usually the biggest hit in in the swallow but this one is light on the finish. Overall very drinkable and very tasty.

Chocolate and raw vanilla bean right up front with a bit of molasses. Beautiful balck body wit ha light tan oily frothy head like root beer is supposed to have in a cartoon. Restrained sweetness is perfect for the dark chocolates and vanilla bean to come though. The Vanilla is very non-candy like which is a surprising and outstanding quality. Finishes with a nice fleeting herbal bitterness and more chocolate and vanilla extract.

Dark brown color. Vanilla, more vanilla, bourbon, caccao all jump out of the nose. Is grandma making some cake?
Mouth isn’t that sweet at all, well balanced with big vanilla notes, dark chocolate and cherry coke. Great depth. Caccao and vanilla finish. I was quit shocked at how balanced and how austure the beer was given its name. Very admirable work for an odd beer.

very dark, nearly black in color with a wispy tan head. Excellent aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, coffee, and milk chocolate. Creamy, medium body. Awesome flavor!! Coffee beans, vanilla, chocolate, dark malts, all blended together very well. Finishes with bittersweet malts, and vanilla. Not your run of the mill stout, something new and fun...I’m a big fan.

Very dark brown body with tan head. Nose is a bit mild; roasted malts, charcoal, and some sweetness. The tasting is superb; bitter milk chocolate with vanilla extract, roasted finish. Palate is smooth with a medium fill. This brewer is continuing to impress me. Cant wait to try more.

Vannnnnillaaaa! I dont think Ive ever tried a beer with so much vanilla smell, right down to the small amount of alchohol in vanilla bottles. Smell is sweet too. I bought this 21oz bottle at the great Takanaya liquor store in Tokyo for 450yen. Pours dark, almost opaque, with no head, but some carbonation. Taste is smooth, very mild, and somewhat dry despite the name and smell. Finish is mild, with the slightest amount of hops bitterness. Double this recipe and youve got a truly great beer.

Bottle brought back from Japan by my awesome cousin. Pours a dark dark black/ brown, with a tan head that recedes to a ultra thin layer. Aroma is sweet and chocolate, subtle cappuccino and vanilla. Taste is not typical stout, very thin mouthfeel. It’s ultra sweet, essence of black cherry and even some grape. Chocolate and little chalkiness. Very good but damn sweet.
