COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

300ml from bottle bought in Kamakura (Japan). Close to a regular wheat beer, though stronger. Complex flavour towards the end. Good aftertaste

300 ml bottle. BBE 19/11/2020. Thanks Timo A!
Cloudy amber color with a small off-white head. Marmalade, alcohol and perfumy hops in the aroma. The flavor is mild hops, some booziness and mild bitterness. Quite easy for a 10% brew.

30 cl bottle (2015 vintage). BBE 19.11.2020. Thanks Timo A.
Pours hazy orange-golden color with a small head. Aroma is pleasant and grainy, floral hops, some ripe fruit notes, very faint wheat, pale malt. Flavor is ripe fruity, wheat, yeast and some apple notes. Soft, alcohol fairly well hidden, could be a bit more aggressive. Interesting.

Thanks jinroh for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing dark translucent brown with no head and barely any carbonation. The nose shows dry notes of brett and sweet notes. The palate is full bodied and low carbonation. Good funky sweetness of dry oak and vanilla (?). Slight bitterness at the end. Definitely the funkiest flavor I’ve had in a beer.

2014 bottle. Very boozy, green apple, bitter hops, burning alcohol. Ok but was expecting better, this is fairly harsh on the palate and over-hyped imho...

2014 craft beer market Toranomon. Served in a snifter. A rusty Amber color with a small white head. Really big fruit aroma: pear, fig, currant with a bit of wheat and vanilla. Hope jump out on the palate with a resiny bitterness. Thin body and slightly watery mouthfeel with a little alcohol noticeable on the finish.

100 ml in a wine glass, on draft at Craft Beer Market Jimbocho. Clear dark amber with thin off-white head. Aromas of red wine, dark fruit, light caramel. Tastes of dark fruit, floral, wheat, booze. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Draught at Bungalow. Nice ruby amber, small head with decent lacing. Boozy dark fruit aroma. Surprisingly bitter, nice fruit, but a definite alcohol finish.

Bottle from the brewery via rakuten I believe. 2013 bottle, OG 1.092, IBU 55, Hops: Nugget, Cascade, HBC 342. Served in a snifter and shared with my angelic wife. A very dark ruby brown with a good 1 cm head of beige foam that slowly faded away leaving some clinging to the side of the glass. Really rich malty aroma of pitted fruit, figs, peaches, plums - delicious sweet fruitiness. Medium to full bodied with a dry finish. The taste is surprisingly bitter... well rather bittersweet. You get that fruity malty hit at first then it fades into a lingering lightly bitter finish. Once it starts warming up you get more caramel, some spiciness, a bit of sherry like notes. I am not a big expert in wheat wines but this is quite good.
