Even better than they dubbel down. This one was a hit, we even got a 2nd pitcher and had to get people to take the blonde for us so we could get some more of this. MayorQuimby (100) - Santa Barbara, California, USA - AUG 7, 2005
Tap at brewpub. Pours brown with a fluffy white head, some lacing. Aroma is nutty and malty. Great balance between malt, nutty flavors, and the hops. Very well rounded. Medium bodied, left flavors hanging around in my mouth. Out of all the SBBC brews that I’ve tried, this is the best of the lot. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - AUG 5, 2007
Clear red copper with no head. Malty roasty aroma. Good strong nutty taste with a smooth finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy dark brown with a nice creamy head. Malty caramel aroma with some earthy hops. Malty and nutty with some wood, sweetness, caramel, and light hops. Medium body with medium carbonation. Smooth and pleasant overall, with nice maltiness. omhper (24980) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 13, 2006
UPDATED: APR 5, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown. Dominated by roasty malt. Light bodied wtih clean mouthfeel. Despite the low hop rate the addition of hazelnut is barely noticable. Instead this beer is carried by the roasty malt. Salty finish with low bitterness. A good brown! BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 15, 2008
On tap at the brewery, listed at 6.2%. Pours with a light brown head covering a clear brown body. Malty aroma. Tastes a bit like a second running of a stout. Slightly burnt coffe malts, and some nuts. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel with light carbonation. yespr (44811) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2010
