Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 14, 2012
Almost black in color with a creamy tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, and mild chocolate are the primary aromas to the beer. There’s a subtle earthy hop aroma and a mild cocoa powder note. The flavor is a bit on the watery side. Mildly bitter with roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, and earthy hops. There’s a fair amount of dark chocolate character to it as well. Watery feel on the tongue. danielcurtis81 (1519) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 19, 2010
Served on tap at the brew pub while in SB for the wife’s 30th. The appearance is a typical brown black. The nose is roasted malt, with light chocolate notes. The flavors followed. Nothing special nothing terrible and average stout. yespr (45412) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2010
From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small, creamy, tan and dense head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and with a note of liqourice. Smooth roasted malt base. Lingering dry roasted malt flavoured. Mild bitterness but dominantly roasted malt. Nice roasted lasting impression.
