What a pleasant surprise. Really enjoyable, drinkable IPA - Despite not tons of balance. Deep Golden/apricot with a white head. Fluff. Citrus, sweet hopped nose. Nice carbonation profile. Apricot, citrusy hips - nothing overwhelming here. High drinkability.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2013 Live rate. 22oz bottle from Cask N’ Flask, San Jose, CA. Pops open with an enticing gust of lychee moving into grapefruit, melon, papaya, blackcurrant, aniseed...even a little wisp of garlic- good fresh hops unencumbered by malt. Brilliant bronze with a loose off white foam. The hop freshness continues on the palate with punishing bitterness; dried flowers, slightly less expressive tropical fruit flavours, peppery spice and pine. Oily nut linger and crumbs of biscuit off the malt- no Crystal malt overdose here. Bitter, bitter hops dominate; fresh-picked and pollen-like on the burp. Better than average WCIPA. Bomber from Hayduke. This beer poured a clear honey gold and had a nice fluffy off white head that left a good bit of lacing. The aroma is west coast hops with floral, citrus, and caramel. The first sip is hop centric with citrus and tropical fruit out front. The second sip brought more grapefruit. That had its run for a bit and then the tropical went back out front. I love a good psychotic beer! This beer is a classic west coast IPA and it is an excellent example of it. There are no faults to be found. Very drinkable and flavorful. This beer is a fastball down the middle on an 3 and 0 count. ben4321 (6510) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAY 19, 2016

On tap at the brewery. Pours a fairly clear orange amber with a thin white head. Spicy citrus on the nose, soft lemon and orange. Medium bodied, bright citrus, thick sweet malt, a touch of fruit. Malty into the finish, warming alcohol and cool hops. Earthy with some cool grapefruit on the finish. Nice stuff.

Way way too clear for my tastes. Aroma is medicinal at the start and blooms as it warms to real nice hop bomb. Flavor is kind of the same way. At the start it’s bitter as all get out. Bitter slap in the face. Pine and a little fruit & sweet malt. I really enjoyed it but it needs more refinement. Probably made with extracts but not too noticeable. In the end it’s pretty harsh but that may be what your looking for in IPA’s. Every time you bring this beer to your lips it seduces you with sweet hop perfume. Clear yellow orange color with sticky lacing. Resin on the notes. Dirty palate. Good IPA. Zymurgeist2 (2246) - Redwood City, California, USA - NOV 5, 2013
On tap at Gourmet Haus. Citrus and pine aroma. Hazy golden orange with white head hat is fleeting. Leaves lacing. Orange and earth. Resinous. Moderate bitterness. BrewHaMeister (456) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 20, 2013
Bomber thanks to Bytemesis! Pours a cloudy amber orange with a thick off white head and nice lacing. Floral hop aroma with a spicy citrus flavor. Delicious! PhillyCraft (7229) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 27, 2014
On draft at San Pedro square brewpub with Scott and Heady. Pours clearish golden color with smaller head. Medium carbonation. Tasting notes were orange, pine, light malt and some other citrus fruits. Good brew to sip on while watching some crunchy tuneage.
