Bottle… Pours clear and very dark. Sits black with a mid-size, creamy, beige head. Great retention. The bouquet is of milk chocolate and toasted nuts. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with tingly carbonation. Heavy notes of unsweetened, burnt espresso in the flavor – lesser note of cocoa. Lengthy, charred, medium bitter finish that leaves my tongue novocain numb. Bottle courtesy of giarcsr. Thanks ryan! daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Dark pour, light brown head. Ash, roasted malt, char, espresso aroma. Roasty and toasty flavors with hints of asphalt and cocoa. marcus (10584) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 5, 2009
This black ale poured with a rich tan head and a strong chocolate aroma. There is also a lot of chocolate in the flavor, which is smooth but sort of thin. It’s a decent oatmeal stout, but not among the best of the style.

651mL thanks to ygtbsm94. Great head formation- thick tan lace with amazing retention atop clear, deep cola. Amaretto nose with toasted pecans. Taste is hoppy and bitter with oily chocolate. Not bad at all. Mild lactose finish with muted ash and milk chocolate. Mild cocoa. I liked this one even though it’s a bit oily. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - JUN 15, 2009
