Bottle. Very dark brown body topped by a beige head that settles into a thin film. Nose of cocoa, roast and a bit of dark fruit. Dark chocolate, burnt coffee flavors. Not a bad effort but the body is thin and the finish is too burnt.

Bottle. Dark brown / black pour with almost no head. Aroma is lightly sweet fruit, mild roast; overall pretty weak in the aroma department. Flavor is initially sweet and somewhat fruity followed by bitter roast and a dry roast finish. A little watery on the palate.

Rather light and watery stout, a bit of chocolate and molasses, some coffee; all that’s nice, but just too much chalkiness just kills this for me. Fizzy, biting carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of JohnCoctosin. Served in a Mikasa tulip. Pours near black with a single-finger tan head. Good retention and some spotty lacing. Thin cap throughout. The nose brings forward some good roast and chocolate, tending toward the roast. The flavor is quite roasty with some espresso and chocolate behind. Mouthfeel takes a turn for the worse, as it’s a bit thin and really harsh with an acrid roast character that is quite dry. Hurts the flavor as well. Okay, though I wouldn’t seek this out again. 22 ounce bottle thanks to JohnCoctosin Finally opened this one. Big carbonated head that fills most of the glass. A bit of a metallic nose with chocolate taste. Ok body. Decent overall. Lacking mostly in nose and overall oatmeal stout quality.
