Clear, light amber pour with a white head. Nose is bready with some notes of toast. Maybe a bit of toffee, too. Some grass, yeast, and a bit of green apple to the aroma as well. The flavor is somewhat bland. A bit of water, sweet malt flavors of bread, toast, and toffee. Light green apple, some mild hop bitterness, and a touch of yeast. Draught at Boulder Creek Brewpub.
Nicely malty aroma with British hops and lots of caramel. Very bubbly orange color with lace. Rich malt flavor, nice caramel; thick, grainy and good. Earthy hops, with some citrus and nice bitterness. This really shows off a nice malt character.

Draught at the Surfrider Cafe. Orange with a creamy head. Malty butterscotch aroma with light fruitiness and faint hops. Malty flavor with some bread crust and toffee, balanced by a firm earthy bitterness and light butterscotch. Medium bodied. The butterscotch actually blends enough with the malt to give it a nice richness, though it might be too much for some. Definitely a malt-leaning beer, but pretty nice.
