No a very good pale. Pours a nice cloudy orange color. No smell whatsoever. Taste is metallic, with a very weird hops. Leaves a gross aftertaste. Had on tap at the brewery.

July 25th, 2014 - We continue down the line of tasters here at the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery, like an execution line, gobbling down the beer one at a time, and now it is the Glacial Pale Ale’s turn. The scent is light and hoppy, with a pronounced note of pineapple, but the flavor is heavier, sweeter and danker. Curiously, and wonderfully, there is also a heavy hit of spices like clove, and a powerful weedy note. Whichever hops they picked for this, it is expressing itself to the fullest, and while this is good, it is a striking change from the previous two samplers which were far milder and weaker. This is a reasonbly good pale ale, refreshing, citrusy, all that, and very drinkable. But it suffers from a certain flatness of palate. I find the label a bit messy, too. Still, worthwhile. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 29, 2014

Cloudy orange. Light orange nose. Taste is thin, grassy, light aromatics. It’s a weak beer but nothing off about it. Pretty solid brokensail (16436) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 2, 2013
On tap @ Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing. Clear golden pour with a white head. Aromas of orange peel, some grass, and bready malt. Kind of lemony, too. Flavor is lightly bitter. A fair amount of grass, orange peel, and a bit of lemons. Maybe some white grape and a light bread note. Zymurgeist2 (2179) - Redwood City, California, USA - APR 17, 2013
From bottle to pint glass. Weird metallic and cardboard aroma with some earth. Nice looking enough hazy deep orange with white head that leaves a collar. Cardboard and malt with a dank-like grassy hop background. Lots of oxidation and phenols here. Watery mouthfeel with a dry finish. Gription79 (2886) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. This is a bottle of hopped infection. Spicy, fruity infection, caramel, cardboard. Not good, Footbalmed.
