COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the kind of beer that gives the word "stout" a reputation. Extra generous quantities of barley malt, followed by vigorous fermentation leaves this "imperial" heavy weight with 8% alcohol A.B.V. and a body as full as chocolate bread pudding. A complimentary and complex array of bitter notes comes form potent American hops, earthy British hops, black-roasted malts and, of course, coffee. Santa Fe Brewing Company uses only top-quality ingredients like organically grown East Timor coffee beans blended with New Guinea coffee beans, locally roasted by Ohoris Coffee House. Its heavenly flavor and aroma cant be beat or imitated.

caramel, coffee, roasty, nuts, leaves, licorice, raisin, black, sparkling, minimal head, tan foam, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, sticky, thin feel, lively, astringent, long finish, Not too hot, hides its 8% ABV well but could use a fuller body and less carbonation.

One of the best smelling beers I've ever laid my nostrils to. Not a fan of coffee, definitely taste the java, yet still amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A deep dark imperial stout with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light pepper notes, light coffee grind, musty character, nice and smooth. In mouth, a sweet mocha chocolate malt with light vanilla, light powdery character, silky mouth feel, light milk character, coffee grind, alcohol warmth, very nice. Can.

On tap at Tap & Bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out subdued coffee and medium roasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with subdued coffee and medium roasted malt. Surprisingly restrained for an impie. Pleasant but lacking oomph.

Can. Dark brown pour, with a shortly lived tan head. Lots of coffee, espresso, chocolate, and caramel. Nice, tasty coffee beer, but not too complex.

Can. Black with an average tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and dark roasted malts. Taste is loaded with coffee. Cocoa, vanilla, lactose, and dark roasted malts. Average thickness and lingering coffee flavor.

The coffee in this beer is very pronounced. The roast is too strong for me. Appropriate thickness just too much coffee for my taste.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours from the12 oz can dark brown with a tan head and gorgeous lacing. Nose of coffee and lactose. Full body. Flavor shows some burnt chocolate malt with lactose, but coffee still dominates. Finishes with a lot of the coffee and chocolate and just a hint of bitterness. This is a nice drinking beer.
