Aroma is like darkened toast and coffee (is someone cooking breakfast in my glass?). Pours deep brown-black in color with nice tan colored head.. Full bodied roast flavors that linger with and espresso flavor.
Black pour with barely any head. Aroma smells a little old, oxidized and papery. Hint of coffee in the nose. Taste is like drinking coffee grounds and not much else. Medium bodied, loads of black malt. Surprising that I didn't get much coffee, just that black malt. Probably an old can. GenDV138 (7759) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - NOV 27, 2017

Pours a dark brown almost black color with a three finger khaki head. The aroma is cold roasted coffee, lactose, sweetness, and chocolate. The flavor is lightly roasted coffee, lots of sweetness, not sure if they add lactose but it sure taste like it, brown bread. Chocolate, and maybe even some vanilla notes. The mouthfeel is creamy and drinkability is high for a 8% abv. radagast83 (8504) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - NOV 20, 2017
12oz can at the November DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was roasted coffee. COffee roast, some light chocolate notes. Creamy, easy to drink. Cavie (4836) - Arlington, Texas, USA - SEP 10, 2017
Can. Dark brown color, ruby highlights. Clear. Beige head, foamy. Coffee aroma is strong. Bright. Roasty notes, dark bitter chocolate. Flavor is a strong bitterness, dark malts, roasty notes. Bitterness lingers in the finish. Slightly metallic, a bit ashy. Very strong aftertaste. Upon looking, I discovered this can is over 2 years old. Doesn't hold up over time.

Can from Bier Station - Pours dark red with a tan head. Aroma is burnt coffee, very thin for a stout. Pass. PatrickYEG (74) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 9, 2017
It has good flavor but I just can't get into "Imperial" beers, whether it's the alcohol percentage I'm not sure but it's not a favorite

This is a tasty beer, if you like coffee. It's pretty rich so you can only have a few.

12 oz. can pours an opaque black with decent beige head that persists and leaves good lacing. Aroma has coffee, roasted malts, molasses, licorice, and cocoa. Taste is bitter with a long finish. Body is full with just enough carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. This is a substantial stout that I’d love to find again. Grovlam (4257) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 2, 2017
Can. Huge off white ever lasting head. Pitch black color. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, grain, pine, grape. Full body with a thick texture. Moderated sweet with good counter bitterness. Lingering roasted bitter malt finish.
