Bottled. A hazy dark red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, bourbon, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, wood, and a bit of bourbon, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks pinball for sharing. Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a hazy deep amber with an off-white head. Very sweet and oaky Bourbon aroma. Rich body, thick burned caramel, slightly woody with a massive booziness. A very typical US-style Barleywine. Nice alright but perhaps a little rough and unrefined. 250213 Travlr (24875) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 16, 2012

Bottle shared by Jcwattsrugger at MaxxDaddy’s tasting. Pours dark amber with off white head. Nose/taste of toffee, caramel, wood, vanilla, bourbon and sweet malt. Medium body. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 3, 2012
The pour is a light amber color with minimal head formation. Starts off with lots of bourbon and vanilla notes. There’s a hint of oxidation in there too. Quite a nice fruit quality to this: raisin, plum, and grape. Plenty of caramel and toffee of course, too. The flavor has a nice touch of bourbon and vanilla long with a bit of oak. Not quite as much fruit, but still good. Caramel, toffee, and a bit of brown sugar are also present. Solid all around barleywine. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 4, 2013
Bottle at Yespr’s - Thanks. Cloudy amber/brown - white head. Licorice, barley, roasted, spicy notes, bourbon, vanilla, amber malts, raisins, sweetness, a bit too much bourbon to my taste. Ratman197 (14848) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Waxed bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, carmel, oak and fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, toffee, oak and fruittiness with a smooth lingering lightly tart fruity finish. djd07 (14539) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Bottle as shown thanks to Kendall. Pours a murky brown with medium creamy beige head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. Thick mouthfeel with light roasted malt and caramel with light tartness in the finish. Hides alcohol decently, a good barley wine from Santa Fe.
